About The Role
The Service Operations Manager has the primary responsibility of ensuring material availability to support the customer needs of the service department. Other responsibilities include managing inventory levels, generating quotes, tracking purchase orders for service parts, supporting material/product level revisions, interacting/coordinating with suppliers on a variety of topics, and supporting other business functions as required.
Responsibilities Include:
Own and communicate with internal and external customers regarding commercial parts processes such as warranty returns and claims.
Coordinate with the supply team to utilize remote part storage warehouses in close locations to customer facilities.
Work closely with Supply Material Handlers to ensure prompt and accurate service order shipments to customers
Issue RMA's and handle return and replacements and work closely with the re-manufacture team to ensure priority parts are available for failure analysis.
Receive daily any customer returns (RMAs), validate and enter parts back into the system. Ensure that warranty credits are granted only when company Terms & Conditions are met.
Ensure same day dispatching of service parts orders
Support service projects, monitors inventories to ensure special project deadlines can be fulfilled
Coordinate material flows throughout product/BOM changes, review material that is obsolete in production
Support the quoting and purchase order tracking for service parts and labor.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a service parts management or sales operations role
Broad understanding of end-to-end supply chain
Experience in MES & CRM systems
Demand planning and supply planning for service needs
Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
Strong work ethic, working hand in hand with vendors, production staff and logistics to get products manufactured and delivered as quickly as possible
Ability to lead, interface and work effectively with other departments
Desirable Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office products and Windows-based computer systems.
Bachelor's degree is preferred
