GDIT is actively recruiting a ServiceNow Developer/Administrator to join our team in Windsor Mill, MD to support the Healthcare Integrated General Ledger Accounting System (HIGLAS).

Job Description:

The ServiceNow Developer Administrator will support configurations, customizations, development and maintenance of various ServiceNow modules. The major modules are Change Management, Problem and Incident Management, Knowledge Management Service Request Module

and Release Management

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Implement configuration/customization of the ServiceNow application and facilitate the rollout of new modules and configure Application UI and Workflow.

  • Collaborates effectively with ServiceNow users and Stakeholders to develop solutions and execute changes.

  • Maintain the procedures document to identify improvements of the processes, standards, policies, working methods, and tools and ensure that the tool configuration consistency across development, testing and production environments.

  • Participate in ongoing production support and end-user support.

  • Serve as administrator and developer of ServiceNow ITSM tool

  • Consult with the business process owners, customers, users and constituents to develop and analyze customer requirements

  • Design and implement client scripts, business rules, workflows, and configure or modify applications to meet area business requirements

  • Track, prioritize, and implement enhancement requests and defect corrections, while leveraging formal Change Management processes.

  • Collaborate with internal colleagues to design and implement data feeds/interfaces with other systems, including databases, monitoring tools, etc.

  • Coordinate and perform application upgrades in partnership with other team members

  • Perform application testing

  • Create and maintain system design and operations documentation

  • Develop, maintain, and execute reports to ensure system operation meets performance targets

  • Export/build the CMDB through ServiceNow and sync the CMDB on a periodic basis.

Qualifications and Skills:

Requires ability to pass CMS background check and meet the residency requirement for having resided in the US at least (3) three out of the last (5) five years

Required:

  • BS or equivalent and five years related experience or a MS and three years related experience

  • Hands on experience with implementing (ITSM) Incident, Change management, Asset, Knowledge, Problem, CMDB, Knowledge Base modules and (ITBM) Demand Management and Resource management modules.

  • Hands on experience with ServiceNow to ServiceNow integration using web services

  • Experience with web services, and other forms of integration leveraging APIs (REST, SOAP, WSDL)

  • Strong client side scripting and supporting frameworks for the web (JavaScript, DOM, HTML, XML)

  • Expertise in Java script, debugging, optimizing the performance and working of Client Scripts, Catalog Client Scripts, Server Side Scripting, UI scripts and UI Policies.

  • Knowledge in Business rules, Activate plugins, Manage data with tables, Import sets and Update sets, Control system access and data security, Control access to the application and its records.

  • Worked on CMDB in providing better scope of understanding on the inbound and outbound of assets.

  • Proficient in activities like Creating Roles, Profiles, Email Services, Page Layouts, Workflow Alerts and Actions, and Approval Process.

  • Experienced in managing both low and high-severity incidents across the entire incident life-cycle in accordance with availability, resolution and restoration SLA's.

  • Experienced with Web services including SOAP and XML based integrations with various authentication options/techniques.

  • Good Knowledge on using Glide Scripting for creating UI Action and business rules.

  • Experience in generating various reports providing information on Change scheduled, unauthorized changes implemented, Changes causing incidents etc.

  • Ability to enhance the user interface to provide a custom look and feel (Including Custom UI pages, HTML, and Jelly)

  • Experience in configuring automatic alerts/notifications

Desired:

  • ServiceNow certifications

  • Experience on integration of ServiceNow with different products/tools

  • Java/JavaScript development experience
