The role of the Automotive Service Manager is to manage and direct all service department activities of a retail store engaged in selling tires and related automotive parts and mechanical services. This position is a Store Manager developmental role. Tire Kingdom is committed to training our associates and promoting from within the organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise the flow of cars within the service department

  • Supervise the Automotive Technicians and General Service Technicians

  • Inform customers of vehicle inspection findings

  • Educate and explain service recommendation to customers

  • Assist Store Manager with operational duties

  • Deliver excellent customer service

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of Store or Service Manager experience

  • General automotive knowledge

  • Excellent customer service disposition

  • Good communication skills

  • Scheduling experience

  • Team building skills

  • Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Criminal Background Check

  • Pre-employment Drug Screen

  • 18 years or Older

Responsibilities include hiring and performance management; managing the overall performance of a team; providing leadership by fostering a safe working environment; successful resolution of customer related issues; training a team on effective sales techniques; performing goodwill of customers at the customer site while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction; achieving sales, profit, inventory and payroll goals; managing a budget and dealing with operational issues that affect service. Hands-on support of direct reports includes accompanying our service representatives or visiting customers alone when necessary, to assist in the pick-up and delivery of products or services; driving a company-owned vehicle to and from customer locations; lifting, carrying and walking Cintas products in and out of customer accounts while maintaining world-class service and goodwill to customers; performing managerial duties. Skills/Qualifications Required * The ability to meet the physical requirements of the position * High School Diploma/GED; Bachelor's Degree preferred Qualified candidates must meet all requirements outlined by the Department of Transportation (DOT) or Provincial requirements for driving a regulated vehicle weighing more than 10,000 lbs.
