PALFINGER is searching for a Epsilon Timber & Refuse Loader Service Manager. We are located in Schaumburg, IL This position reports to the Regional Director of Customer Service .

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electric, electronic and hydraulic system issues via phone, email and on-site if needed.

• Interfacing and supporting other departments within the organization (e.g. Sales, Spare Parts, Service, Network Development, etc.)

• Take care of warranty cases and claims for the product line and support reporting for the region.

• Support and update documentation as necessary. (Spare part catalog, owner / install manuals, etc.)

• Identify repeat issues and work with engineering to find solutions.

• Interfacing and supporting other departments within the organization (e.g. Sales, Spare Parts, Network Development, Quality management, etc.)

• Travel for on-site service partner support, repairs, troubleshooting and providing basic service training to build sustainable and good working relationships with our partners.

• Follow up with dealers, and service partners on key service issues.

• Liaison with design contacts in the United States and Europe to report issues and work together to help resolve market service issues.

• Work closely with training staff to provide feedback from market service issues.

• Planned service visits to dealers and service partners as a support role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of years of experience in the areas of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems

• Technical training and education in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulics would be an asset

• Strong technical knowledge with the ability to read and understand technical specifications

• Ability and willingness to travel within the Region North America and to PALFINGER sites in Europe

• Must be well organized, a self-starter and career-minded individual

• Excellent customer service skills are a must

• Strong computer skills and proficient in MS Office products

• Ability to work an entire shift in an office, hot and/or cold industrial manufacturing environments

• Stand, walk, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl and sit

• Use of hands/fingers to feel or handle equipment/tools

• A second language skill (German or Spanish) could be an asset
