Position DescriptionThe Service Manager is primarily responsible for enabling and empowering a team of Customer Service Associates (CSAs) to deliver the best possible customer service experience in the store. This includes responsibility for customer facing activities on the sales floor (e.g., greeting customers, listening and probing to understand needs, identifying solutions), as well as non-customer facing activities (e.g., downstocking, inventory management and area recovery). The Service Manager ensures department(s) are customer ready at all times while inspiring engaging, customer-focused behavior, mitigating and reducing customer complaints, and driving positive first impressions for customers upon entering the store.The Service Manager is responsible for coaching, mentoring, training, and continually monitoring Customer Service Associates in his/her area.

The individual in this role is also responsible for leading Customer Service Associates in other departments, as needed, to meet the demands of the store. This requires broad product knowledge and the ability to engage employees and customers across departments.Job RequirementsRequires morning, afternoon, and evening availability any day of the week; physical ability to move large, bulky and/or heavy merchandise; physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma and 3 years of experience in a big box retail environment OR 5 years of experience in a big box retail environment1 year of experience in customer service

Experience managing project teams (with or without direct report responsibility)Experience recruiting, training, mentoring, and developing a service team (with or without direct report responsibility)Experience working cross-functionallyStrong working knowledge of Microsoft OfficePreferred Qualifications3 years of retail customer service experience Experience in a leadership role with direct report responsibility

Experience working in the home improvement retail sector

Experience working in a fast paced, dynamic retail environment

Experience using store computer systems (including but not limited to: Project Tool, Genesis, M2O, Thin Client, etc.)

VIEW JOBS 12/5/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-05T00:00 Job Description The Field Service Representative (FSR) is the primary contact for Varian Medical Systems (VMS) customers servicing and repairs needs ensuring that our customers' equipment operates efficiently at all times. The Software FSR is responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, installs, upgrades and performing preventative maintenance on all VMS equipment according to instructions and company guidelines. Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair all VMS equipment within an assigned service territory, including preventative maintenance, installations and upgrades per VMS guidelines. Time Management - maintain a schedule to include preventative maintenance installations and upgrades as well as incoming customer calls. Be able to assess urgency of customer request and follow-through to completion. Understand and recognize the need to escalate incidents when necessary or request additional assistance from more tenured representatives. Examine difficult customer issues, diagnose and resolve the issues and meet established customer service levels. Maintain effective territory management and expense control which includes timely completion and submission of field service reports and other required documentation according VMS procedures Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through the use of strong written and verbal communication skills. Position in home based and offers flexibility to be located anywhere in the NY, CT or New Jersey area. Job Requirements Basic knowledge of server hardware and operating systems. Fundamental knowledge of system network topologies and networking functionality. Capable of performing routine maintenance such as follow ups, PMIs and minor STBs Be able to interpret customer concerns and translate to Electronic Medical Records or Treatment Planning System issues. May be secondary on software accounts. Be able to file and follow up on CLT complaints. Meets all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to gain VMS client site access, unless prohibited by law. These requirements vary by client and may include, but are not limited to: o Proof of valid identification (photo, driver's license, SSN) o Criminal background checks o Drug screens o Immunizations (Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Influenza, Tetanus) o Annual TB testing o Healthcare training Familiar with business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
