Join Ecolab's team as a Service Manager in the Quincy, MA market. Ecolab's industry leading Institutional division offers comprehensive chemical products and solutions to meet the needs of customers across the food service and hospitality industries. After completing an initial training program, you will work with a variety of restaurants, hotels, schools, long-term career facilities and more. You will serve as the face of Ecolab by installing, servicing, and maintaining warewashing, laundry, dispensing equipment and systems that drive a positive guest experience and create cleaner, safer, and healthier environments.

What You Will Do:

  • Apply your mechanical aptitude to install, repair and perform maintenance on warewashing, laundry and dispensing equipment and systems; leveraging this service to strengthen the customer relationship

  • Demonstrate safe equipment use, ensuring that your customers' facilities are fully operational and teams are properly trained

  • Complete and merchandize required reports and upload data on a daily basis

  • Manage parts inventory, use, and cost

Position Details:

  • Candidate must reside within 25 miles of Quincy, MA
  • Work Schedule: Willing to work overnight shifts, on weekends, and over holidays as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 2 years mechanical problem-solving experience (e.g. plumbing, electrical, HVAC and/or mechanical experience)

  • Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

  • No Immigration Sponsorship available

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to complete pre-employment assessments including a physical, lift and carry 75 pounds, color vision test and drug screen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Service industry mechanical experience (e.g. refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC and/or military experience)

  • Direct customer service experience

  • Previous business to business or outside sales experience

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: * Responsible for management of all staff in assigned offices including monitoring attendance, account development i.e. upsell and cross sell cross goals, conducting performance reviews, and scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage. * Responsible for overseeing the implementation of the organization's procedures and workflow to ensure compliance. * Responsible for ensuring an equitable distribution of work among associates so productivity and morale can be maintained. * Assists SVP with standardizing procedures to improve efficiencies and with other office specific improvements. Under the direction of the department's SVP, the AVP PL Service Manager is responsible for making day to day decisions pertaining to staff management, workload distribution, scheduling to ensure proper coverage in the department and staff development. Guidelines have been established that allows for the AVP's to make daily decisions that impact our clients, staff and workflow. AVP is encouraged to make routine decisions and, when necessary, consult with SVP for input. AVP is expected to be prepared to offer solutions to any issues that may arise when consulting with SVP. The fast pace personal lines requires the AVP to possess the ability to address complaints and resolve problems in a calm, rational and professional manner that benefit our clients and provides an example of leadership to the staff. This position has limited authority to grant exceptions within established parameters. Also, the AVP will have limited authority and increased support from SVP for payroll decisions within area of managerial responsibility. Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four year college or university * Two to three years related customer service leadership or management experience in an insurance agency; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
