The Company: 4D Technology is a leader in innovative metrology products for measuring surface quality and surface defects on precision surfaces, as well as the surface and wavefront quality of optics. 4D's patented Dynamic Interferometry technology enables 4D's laser interferometry products to measure in difficult environments, where vibration, air turbulence or rapid motion have traditionally prevented accurate measurement.
Our attention to customer needs has led us to adapt our award-winning laser interferometer technology to a wide variety of applications, including factory-floor inspection, telescope mirrors and systems, biomedical research, environmental sensing and imaging and much more. We collaborate with institutions and companies to develop, and deliver, accurate metrology for tough environments and difficult measurements.
The world around us is in constant motion. 4D's innovative measurement systems are designed for real-world, dynamic environments. We are transforming how and where laser interferometry is used. Innovative, dynamic and adapting: 4D Technology.
4D Technology was incorporated in Arizona in 2002. On November 16, 2018, 4D Technology became a subsidiary of Nanometrics Inc. Nanometrics was incorporated in California in 1975 and reincorporated in Delaware in 2006. Nanometrics has been publicly traded since 1984 and is listed on NASDAQ (NANO).
