Faxitron Bioptics LLC, a Hologic Inc. company, is a growing vertically integrated x-ray cabinet system manufacturer located in Tucson, AZ. We build high resolution digital x-ray systems that are used all over the world for medical, clinical, and nondestructive testing.

Job Summary:

The Service Technician will be responsible for meeting the daily service repair needs of the customer's equipment and driving customer satisfaction through Service Excellence. This position is located in Tucson, AZ.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and service repair needs on designated equipment.

  • Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.

  • Maintaining daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.

  • May include training of clinical staff on designated equipment.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the basic knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

  • Experience with computers and common Microsoft programs

  • Must be able to travel to customer sites as required up to 25%

  • Experience in a sales support role a plus, but not required.

  • Possess good communication, organizational, logical thinking skills and presentation skills.

  • Ability to communicate unfamiliar ideas and solutions easily to users with little or no technical knowledge.

  • Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment is helpful but not required.


Associates Degree or 2 years relevant work experience.

2 year minimum

VIEW JOBS 1/18/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-04-17T00:00 Overview The GSP Associate Engineer provides technical phone support to diagnose hardware, software and/or communications failures on all components of Rain Bird pump station systems, Rain Bird Central Control, and other High Service Products customers. This person must be familiar with a variety of irrigation, engineering, and pump station design concepts, practices, and procedures. Responsibilities * Provide technical phone support to customers, distributors, and field personnel. * Coordinate with engineering and service departments to develop and ensure that service performance and quality specifications are met. * Identify replacement service parts as required. * Provide on-site warranty support as required to troubleshoot and repair irrigation components, including valves, rotors, electronic controllers flow sensors, and other products. * Direct on-site technicians as required for installation, maintenance, or repair projects. * Prepare and conduct training, both on-site and in a classroom environment. * Travel up to 10% as necessary to support GSP activities such as trade shows or field visits. * Support the development and implementation of revenue generating services such as central control programming, course audits, mapping, and site surveys. * Provide field information to engineering, manufacturing, sales, and marketing. * Track, report, and follow-up on product and technical issues. * Participate in the GSP 24 hour on-call phone support rotation Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * S. Degree in Engineering plus 3-5 years relevant experience preferred or Associates Degree in Agriculture-Turf grass Management or Business, plus 10 years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Strong computer troubleshooting skills, both hardware and software * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Excellent interpersonal skills * Direct customer service and support experience * Knowledge of electronics * Assist in documentation improvement projects to ensure field support personnel have adequate troubleshooting and operation manuals * Willingness to travel on an as needed basis DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Fluency in Spanish or other foreign language(s). * Irrigation, golf course service and Golf Central Control programming experience.
