Tetra Pak has multiple openings for experienced Service Engineers to fill rewarding and challenging roles that allow freedom with accountability while workingdirectly with our Field Service Operations (FSO) team and customers. The role will include long term and short term assignments, and last minute servicecalls on all Tetra Pak equipment and components. This position will report in to our Services FSO department based in the US or Canada.
The FSO team delivers support to our internal team and external customers by providing on-site support for Tetra Pak Equipment in our customers' productionfacilities. We are looking for customer-focused Service Engineers who can travel up to 90% of the time. You will also have a dedication to quality and healthand safety.
Travel to customer sites in order to:
Conduct preventive maintenance activities in line with global Tetra Pak standard procedures and reinstate equipment into production environment accordingto defined expectations
Execute installation tasks, including the assembly of complete batching and processing systems
Execute installation of relevant rebuilding/upgrade kits according to procedures and reinstate equipment into production environment according todefined expectations
Execute timely reporting of all discovered Technical Issues according to the QTIM processes
Inform relevant Tetra Pak staff about ongoing service activities as well as of any issues affecting the customer or the quality of Tetra Pak service.Inform about any business opportunity discovered at the customer through the relevant channels
Act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak at all times, ensuring and promoting good working relationships with the customer and ensure that Tetra Pak's reputationis sustained
Execute and complete all relevant reports in an accurate and timely way. Distribute reports according to existing procedures and ensure that properhandover is done.
Execute all work in accordance with Tetra Pak and Customer safety regulations and requirements.
Execute all work in accordance with Tetra Pak standards and requirements regarding product quality and food safety. Escalate all discovered food safety,quality assurance and regulatory issues
Conduct on-site/off-site Operator and Mechanical training for internal Tetra Pak and customer personnel
Independently document and redline PLC Code, maintain Issue resolution database
Perform troubleshooting and fault finding services onsite and by phone
Install set-up and support through remote support when off-site
Regular time entry, service reporting and e-mail correspondence
Emergency phone support and on-demand service for the 24hr. support line on a rotational basis
Obtain and maintain key certifications on key components and modules
Timely submittal of all travel and expenses for reimbursement with attention to detail, timeliness and accuracy
Bachelor's Degree, Technical Degree or Certification in an Engineering or related discipline or equivalent skills and experience
At least 1 year of work experience in manufacturing equipment installation, controls/automation, maintenance and/or service work is preferred
Some understanding of automation systems such as Allen Bradley frequency drives, Profibus, Siemens PLC programming software, Rockwell RSLogix 5, 500,5000 PLC programming software, Intouch (WonderWare), Device Net, ABB, Danfoss frequency drives or similar would be ideal
You should also have:
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to handle multiple stakeholders with a customer focused mindset
A commitment to a strong quality culture
A commitment to a strong health and safety culture
A fluent level of writing and speaking English
A valid driver's license
The role requires residency within 60 miles of a major metro airport
Ability to travel up to and about 90% of the time
