Hogsalt is looking for a Full Time Midwest Service Director ($125,000 - $150,000 per year + Bonus Structure) to join our team in Chicago!

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant; experience in multi-unit operations preferred.

  • Strong financial acumen and proven experience in budgeting and forecasting to optimize operational proficiency and profitability.

  • Superior customer service and guest relation skills; an ethos of genuine hospitality is non-negotiable for this position.

  • Ability to identify problems and be solutions-oriented regarding service and restaurant operations.

  • Must maintain flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays; schedule subject to modification and/or approval by the Vice President of Service & Operations.

Duties & Responsibilities: (not limited to the following)

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple restaurant locations:

  • Attend weekly store leadership meetings and provide support to GM and Executive Chef in their execution;

  • Ensure all policies and procedures are followed, including recruiting, hiring and training, 6-month employee reviews, progressive discipline, and any other employee documentation;

  • Review store leadership logs daily and coach leadership teams on problem-solving, guest relations, and employee performance;

  • Hold FOH and BOH leadership accountable for cleanliness of all restaurant areas and maintaining Hogsalt service standards.

  • Assist with auditing training materials, submitting any updates to the Director of Training and Development.

  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels at all times in each restaurant, assisting with hourly and leadership recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding.

  • Provide direct support to store leadership on all financial aspects of each restaurant:

  • Understand, analyze, and interpret P&L statements to determine necessary actions to drive the successful operation of the stores, increase profitability, and drive sales;

  • Monitor each location's financial reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis;

  • Work collaboratively with the Events, Marketing and Branding, Purchasing, and Culinary teams to promote the overall financial health of each restaurant.

  • Provide consistent coaching, mentorship, and support for all leadership and hourly employees, and possess the ability to fill into any FOH position, hourly or leadership.

  • Actively participate in new restaurant openings, including creating product and staffing pars, building budgets to manage COGS and labor, OS&E procurement, determining service and operational standards, and any other associated details as assigned.
