The Help Desk Technician at Ocean State Job Lot will provide store, corporate, and warehouse hardware and software support via phone and ticketing application. This position is responsible for various duties within the MIS department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receive and inbound incidents from End Users (Store/Corporate/Warehouse)
Use a Service Desk application to manage and track service requests/incidents
Determine priority and severity of issue and implementing incident Management processes
Manage asset deployments to end users
Perform QA on returned equipment and sending out for repair if needed
Use remote communication tools to troubleshoot PC related problems
Own incident through lifecycle
Assist with various MIS projects as needed
Assist with some system administration tasks
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in Management Information System or a related field
Technical knowledge of PC hardware, operating systems, and networking preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google platform (i.e. sites, slides, drive, docs, sheets)
Communicator: You possess strong communication skills and enjoy working with customers and coworkers.

Self-motivated: You can work with a minimum of supervision and be capable of strategically prioritizing multiple tasks in a proactive manner.

Work primarily in a climate controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Sedentary, sitting, and frequent near vision use for reading and computer use.
