The Sr. Service Support Desk Specialist will provide technical support, maintenance and configuration on a wide variety of services and assistance for desk, smart phones, laptops, software products, servers and lab equipment, communications equipment and user account administration.

Job Description:

Ensure all calls, emails, or walk-in issues received during duty hours are responded back to the user via phone call, email, or issue ticket within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Provide hardware and software support for each computer, printer and workstation utilizing both wired and wireless networks so that each device is fully functional to include all of the automated tools (WSUS, CA UAM, and CA USD); and software and hardware configurations (iPhone/Blackberry wireless; Windows 7 - 10; Microsoft Office Professional 2013; virus protection tools; PC based hardware; as well as printers and peripherals).
Update and maintain the current approved Microsoft Windows OS images and provide feedback, software, and configuration changes to the image team.
Install, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and instruct users in personal and network computers, as well as peripherals, such as printers, scanners, smart card readers across NIPR unclassified and SIPR classified systems.
Provide elevated quality service and support for the mission critical systems and VIP customers.
Provide guidance, teach, and mentor Intermediate service desk specialist
Communicate technical issues and solutions effectively to end users and enterprise teams, both written and verbal.
Work cooperatively and independently to research and document issues and solutions and provide comprehensive support to the end user.

Requirements:

Associates degree or equivalent education in a technical field preferred.
Two plus (2+) years of IT technical and administrative support
IT certification Security+ required
Must obtain at least one (1) Computing Environment (CE) certification within six (6) months of employment (i.e. Microsoft IT Certified Professional in Windows 7 or 10)
Preferred experience with Citrix, Dameware, Active Directory, Windows 7 & 10, Microsoft Office, iPhone, and remote desktop management.
Excellent communication and organization skills.Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance with the Department of Defense.
