About the Job:

As a service designer, you will use your skills as a researcher, designer and innovator to create a vision of a future. This vision will allow your clients to develop new services that feasibly address customer needs with speed, while balancing business needs and technological restraints.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Serve as one of project's design experts, evolving intellectual and strategic concepts from brainstorm to implementation

  • Work side-by-side with clients to assess, update and create new services to accomplish real business goals in digital and physical environments

  • Assess the current state, exploring pain points and strengths of existing solutions

  • Study people's implicit attitudes, behaviors, and motivations in order to create insights for our clients

  • Bring insights to life as conceptual designs, personas, user journeys, service design blueprints shareable artifacts for prototyping, testing and launch

What You'll Bring with You:

  • Conceptually apply design principles to various business scenarios

  • Strong facilitation skills, ability to distill complex information into easily digestible stories and messages

  • Proficient in finmemes or willing to learn

  • Has used the Contact Us section of websites to complain about their UI choices

  • Can confidently use only hand gestures to describe a customer journey

  • Has stories of times their entrepreneurial ideas have been unsuccessful

  • Can draw the design thinking squiggly line accurately from memory

  • Frequently answers questions with another question

  • Has both mocked cryptocurrencies and also bought cryptocurrencies

  • Keeps a coordinated and up to date calendar but occasionally forgets what day it is

What You'll Contribute * Conduct discovery sessions with clients to understand their current business challenges and growth strategies. * Create and deliver detailed and customized product demonstrations, helping to craft sales strategies and tactics when appropriate. * Work with multiple FICO product teams to design product and service solutions to meet client's business needs. * Design and create proof of concepts, respond to RFIs/RFPs, and prepare sales package proposals. * Build mathematical optimization models using linear programming, mixed integer programming, nonlinear programming, and hybrid techniques. * Effectively communicate the benefits of applying mathematical optimization to real business problems. * Develop pricing scenarios, business benefit and ROI analysis, and creation of competition-differentiating sales strategies. * Participate in best practice workshops at customer sites and conferences, as well provide continuing education to sales team on FICO solutions. What We're Seeking * A motivated and passionate individual who possesses these characteristics: * Masters or PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Management Science, Statistics, or related field * Significant, demonstrable experience in a technical optimization role in a commercial environment (10+ years) * Extensive hands-on experience with Mathematical Optimization Software such as FICO Xpress, Gurobi, and/or IBM CPLEX * Experience with model development platforms such as Xpress-Mosel, AIMMS, AMPL, OPL, MPL, GAMS, Concert, Python, etc. * Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, C#, VBA, etc. * Some experience in a pre-sales (or post-sales with strong selling aptitude) consulting role with proven success in designing solutions that align with clients' business objectives. * Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders- from technical resources to C-level executive management. * Effective written and verbal communication skills as demonstrated through presentation development and delivery experience, including webinar delivery skills. * Proven problem-solving skills as demonstrated by examples of creative and forward-thinking solutions to business issues. * Proficient in English (verbal and written) * Ability to work with others cross functionally as part of solution team. * Ability to travel 5-15%.
