Description

Oversee end-to-end processing and status reporting of information flow, queries and incidents across the enterprise applications/databases which are used to prepare and report Citi's Consolidated Regulatory results. Performs/Supports application and process health check and associated communication during Citi's reporting cycles (i.e. Daily, Month End and Quarter End). Drive/participate in the identification of process improvement opportunities to enhance platform stability and deliver overall service delivery efficiencies.

The position will help build and maintain strong relationships with both our technology and business partners. Assist/Conduct/Participate in reviews with Support Partners and key Stakeholders to help drive issue remediation actions and strategic solutions. To represent /support the team in regional, global or platform reviews and assurance meetings with our FRSS teams and partners. Lead/support technical/user problem management and status reporting communication channels engaging all stakeholders and owning follow up, escalation and resolution reporting.

Provides integral service delivery support for activities with our partners enabling new implementations as well as changes to existing platforms and processes. Assists with user or peer application training as needed. Provides delivery support for internal/external audit reviews as well risk and control matters.

Qualifications

  • 5+ Years of experience in consolidated Corporate Financial, Management or Regulatory Reporting and/or Incident/problem management, Operations, Application/Database Management.

  • College Degree in Information Systems, Accounting or Business Management preferred.

  • Knowledge of Client Server technology, Data Warehousing and Reporting/Accounting/Analyst skills.

  • Experience and understanding with Citi Enterprise Applications, data/data flows, mappings, business rules, accounting procedures, and end-to-end processes is preferred.

  • Needs to be proficient with PC desktop software especially MS Office products.

  • Ability to question status quo and drive diverse opinions to a common path

  • Analytical and digital mindset with ability to establish trends and generate insights

  • Must be able to coordinate and deal with conflicting time demands.

  • Ability to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and holidays as determined by the business needs.

Specifically, this position will lead certain aspects of the Global Functions Month End Close (MEC) process, Balance Sheet review as well as to lead the Accounting and Reporting for the Ventures investment business and certain aspects of the Charge Out process. Month End Close / Reconciliations / Balance Sheet review: This role will lead and own certain functions around the Global Functions MEC process to provide oversight and direction with accruals, month end adjustments, variance analysis and legal entity management. This position therefore requires close interaction with Finance Risk Shared Services (FRSS) , FP&A and other teams that affect the MEC and Legal Entity Management process. This role will also lead the monthly and quarterly Balance Sheet Review presentation as well as assist the AO on certain reconciliations and reconciling adjustments. Investment Accounting / Charge Outs / Other: Global Functions includes Citi Ventures where this position will work with other members of our Controller team to lead and direct controls and accuracies over the Investment Portfolio and well as compliance with Citi Legal Entity Management Policy. This position will also work with the Global Functions Controller team and take the lead on the Non Paying Entity charge out process. Additional responsibilities will include other controllership responsibilities within O&T Controllers, such as responding to accounting questions and inquiries, any required policy changes, identifying opportunities and leading transformation projects, driving process and control standardization, and the development of improved monitoring controls. The Finance Accounting Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Responsibilities: * Supports the management and control data flows to and within Finance applications to ensure integrity and completeness of data, including by preparing and recording financial transactions for legal vehicle and regulatory reporting purposes, updating the general ledger, recording financial transactions, and preparing of consolidated financial statements, in accordance with management reporting requirements, for legal vehicle & regulatory purposes.
