LSI currently seeks a full-time Service Coordinator to coordinate and supervise residential programs at Beloit Residential Campus in Ames.
Coordinates and supervises residential programs on campus. Responsible for providing a safe, positive, therapeutic living environment to residents through independent judgment and discretion to achieve resident treatment success.
Trains and supervises staff and volunteers. Serves as a professional member of the therapeutic treatment team serving the needs of children entrusted to the care of LSI. Assists in managing and achieving outcomes including reduction of critical incidents, and tracking and supporting documentation. Responsible for funding and program compliance.
The service coordinator works closely with the Clinical Coordinator. Will also be in an on-call rotation every 6 weeks.
This position is mainly 1st shift with some on-call responsibilities. May need to stay past 5pm some nights to check in but not always.
Also may need to pop in at 7am to check in on overnight staff. Must work well as a team and scheduling skills is a bonus.
Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor's degree in social work or a related human service field plus a minimum of four years work experience in child mental health; two years supervisory experience.
This position requires a valid driver's license, auto insurance, a good driving record and the ability to pass an extensive background check including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, Sex Offender registry and a criminal history check.
