SUMMARY
The Service Coordinator will act as a resource to coordinate quality related activity across several departments, including Service, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance and Engineering.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Leads the service effort for fielded product.
Acts as first-level support for customer product issues in factory and field.
Generates production documentation for RMA and repair / reword utilizing the ERP system.
Performs root cause investigations and presents findings to engineering, quality and mfg personnel.
Participates in quality-related projects for improvement and reliability initiatives.
Identifies, supports and tracks Corrective and Preventive Action plans
Analyzes data, creates reports and communicates feedback. This includes, but is not limited to, first pass yield, statistical process control and other metrics identified by the Management Team.
Helps to organize and track non-conformance and RMA inventory.
Trains manufacturing personnel to reduce quality problems and increase understanding of quality goals.
Performs internal audits and assists in preparation for external audit reviews.
Communicates with department heads to recommend methods for improvement.
With QA Manager, maintains and updates quality forms and documents.
Documents continuous quality improvement activities.
Delivers outstanding service to internal and external customers with a communication style that is professional and courteous.
Consistently supports and demonstrates Synchrony mission and values.
Perform other duties as directed by leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements below are the minimum requirements an employee needs to fulfill this position. They are representative of the knowledge, skills and ability required for the position.
Education
College degree in a technical field. Required Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering or light industrial manufacturing.
Exposure to engineering, customer-relationship or quality assurance software. Language
Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Skills
Must be able to use basic measurement devices, such as micrometer calipers and indicator gauges.
Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
Must be able to operate small lifts, pallet jacks and other lifting equipment.
Fork truck license preferred.
Must have background in the use of Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word. Physical Demands
Must be able to work on feet for extended periods of time.
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move material per Synchrony lifting standards.
Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Must not have issues related to handling metals including aluminum, copper, bronze, and steel.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be exposed to moving and/or heated mechanical parts, adhesive fumes, airborne particles, and energized electrical systems. Moderate noise levels are present for limited periods of time. Appropriate PPE will be supplied.
