Responsibilities

A Service Coordinator is an employee who represents the company while working in an office setting in a service center. This position may be hired as a Service Coordinator D. This is an entry level position and must demonstrate basic clerical skills, which will include keyboard proficiency, office etiquette as well as oral and written communication skills. The determination of these qualifications will be done by test.

Responsibilities of this position include the following:

  • Attention to detail.

  • Data Entry.

  • Customer Service over the phone and in person.

  • Provide assistance to internal and external questions.

  • Distribute incoming requests in a timely manner and monitor requests against identified deadlines. Compile and organize data from multiple sources.

  • Assist other service coordinators in office and in other districts with workload as assigned.

  • Other Service Coordinator duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School or GED equivalent.

  • Two years customer service experience.

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, Outlook and Windows.

  • Successful in passing aptitude and typing test - required.

  • Travel may be required.

Preferences

  • Previous experience as a Service Coordinator A in the utility industry.

  • Five years' experience in a Utility Field Operations.

  • Familiar with CSS System, SAP, and EXCEL.

  • Familiarity with IBEW Local 125 Working Agreement.

This position may be hired as a Service Coordinator D. This is an entry level position and must demonstrate basic clerical skills, which will include keyboard proficiency, office etiquette as well as oral and written communication skills. The determination of these qualifications will be done by test. Responsibilities Service Coordinator A – Has successfully completed all required training and evaluation segments. Service Coordinator B – Successfully completed required training and evaluation segments D and C. Service Coordinator C – Successfully completed required training and evaluation segment D. Service Coordinator D – Entry level position. Must demonstrate basic clerical skills, which will include keyboard proficiency, office etiquette as well as oral and written communication skills as determined by the joint sub-committee. The determination of these qualifications will be done by test, and/or joint interviews as determined by the joint sub-committee. All existing Area Operations Clerks and District Operations Clerks will be reclassified as Service Coordinator A's and will be grandfathered at the adjusted rates reflected in Article 22.10. Upgrades will not be made among Service Coordinators. Any clerical assignment may be given to each level of Service Coordinator, with training and evaluation segments used for advancement only. The Employee shall qualify as a Service Coordinator A in a maximum of two (2) years, with the Company providing a minimum of five (5) modules of training every eight (8) months. In the event that Management does not allow the employee to complete the five (5) modules required for advancement, within an eight (8) month period, the employee will automatically progress to the next level; however, with the expectation that those modules will be completed in the future. Advancement to Service Coordinator A is not dependent on the posting of a Service Coordinator A position, but is a progression within classification. Open Service Coordinator A positions will first be filled by the Senior Service Coordinator A bidder; second by the senior Service Coordinator B bidder; third by the senior Service Coordinator C bidder; fourth by the senior Service Coordinator D bidder before other employees. When no incumbent Service Coordinator bids on an open Service Coordinator position, the open position will be filled by the senior bidder that has met the qualifications developed by the joint sub-committee. All Coordinators may continue to do Service Dispatching for Servicemen. No Coordinators shall be assigned supervisory responsibilities. In addition, there shall be no upgrades in these positions other than the normal progression from D to C, C to B and B to A.
