Position Information

Position Title Service Center Customer Service Representative Department Service Center Job Location Crete, NE (68333) Purpose of Job

Our Customer Service Representatives provide excellent customer service and first-level technical support for the Doane University community. We provide technology support and general information assistance via phone, web, and in-person directly to end-users from our service desk located in the Learning Commons and Service Bureau.

General Description and Duties

  • Answer the phone in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Basic connection, printer, and basic computer troubleshooting/maintenance

  • Be willing to learn/try something new.

  • Check email, create tickets with information, and route to the correct technical team.

  • Interview customers in regards to their issues/requests with directed questions.

  • Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of hardware, software, and peripherals for our students, faculty, and staff.

  • Politely respond to the customer's problem and convey a resolution either by resolving it at first contact or escalating it to the next level of support

  • Provide end-user training and support where required

  • Schedule installations and service visits

  • Unlock AD account/Reset AD password/Walk a customer through the steps

  • Use our Ticketing system, Google, and other Doane University software

  • Attendance is required for the Spring Student Leader Summit

  • April 21, 2023
  • Expected to attend ALL training sessions throughout the year

Special Skills or Knowledge Required

  • Active student at Doane University in Crete

  • Basic Customer Service Skills

  • Microsoft Office knowledge preferred

Total Weekly Hours Required $12/hour, up to 17 hours a week available Physical Demands

Hours are available during the following times:

Monday

  • Thursday 8am

  • 11pm

Friday 8am

  • 5pm

Saturday 1pm

  • 5pm

Sunday 2pm

  • 11pm
