As a Service Associate III, your day will be filled with opportunities to actively supervise tellers at a branch location to ensure customer banking transactions are completed in a timely manner, sales opportunities are acted upon, and behavior is friendly and professional. Experience working as a teller combined with problem solving skills and decision making ability are important while Stock Yards Bank & Trust will provide a professional environment to continually improve the candidate's skills to further his/her career goals for advancement within the banking profession.
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Perform all duties of a Teller
Sell and cross-sell bank products and services
Supervise all Teller activities at the branch, including customer service efforts, teller balancing success, and maintenance of teller work areas
Audit all Teller drawers quarterly
Approve checks according to SYB check cashing policies
Order and ship money to maintain proper inventory and fill coin and currency orders
Participate in the interviewing process and hiring decisions
Provide ongoing training and feedback and conduct performance reviews with tellers
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
2-3 years of banking experience preferred, 1 year required
Good written and verbal communication skills
Proven decision-making ability
Proven ability to supervise and work well with others
Professional appearance and demeanor
