OVERVIEW OF POSITION:

Maintains entire interior and exterior of restaurant. Busses tables and washes dishes.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains landscape

  • Sweeps, scrubs and cleans curbs, building pad and dumpster area.

  • Racks, washes and sanitizes dishes, pots, pans and utensils within prescribed standards for cleanliness and efficiency.

  • Clears and cleans tables.

  • Carries trays of dishes to the dish room and returns clean dishware to service areas.

  • Cleans and organizes back of the house, e.g., sweeps and scrubs floors, removes garbage.

  • Cleans and organizes front of the house, e.g., sweeps, vacuums, removes trash, cleans restrooms and parking lot.

  • Completes deep cleaning duties (scrubs walls, cleans walk-in cooler/freezer, scrubs sidewalk, dumpster area).

  • Stores and rotates stock.

  • Adheres to Denny's Brand Standards and internal policies and procedures.

  • Assists other service personnel.

Accountabilities

  • Dining room tables are cleaned and sanitized. Pots, pans, dishes, glassware, ice and utensils are maintained in adequate supply throughout shift. Front and back of the house are clean, organized and stocked at all times to ensure timely customer service. Restaurant exterior is clean, neat and organized.

Qualification Standards

  • Ability to lift 30lbs required.

  • Flexible and reliable

  • Team player.

  • Bends, stoops, reaches, wipes and lifts.

  • Must have sufficient mobility to move and/or operate in work area.

  • Must work inside and outside.

  • Must be able to observe wares to ensure health requirements for cleanliness are met.

  • Must meet any state, county or municipal regulation pertaining to health risk concerns about food handling.

Minimum 6 months experience preferred.

Learn more about this agency Responsibilities The employee serves as Nursing Assistant (NA) in Patient Care Services at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center, Tomah, WI. Areas of assignment include Inpatient Community Living Centers include 400S, 401A, 401B, 402A, 402B, 403AN, 403B and 406A: the inpatient Acute Care units include 400A and 403A, Outpatient 404, Urgent Care, and the float pool. The NA works under the supervision of a registered nurse or other licensed health care professional. Duties Include: * Performs a variety of personal care or nursing care activities which do not require practical or vocational nursing licensure or professional nurse educational. * Performs work assisting other Medical personnel in the diagnosis or treatment of patient/resident illnesses or medical conditions. * Assists providers and nurses in the care and treatment of patients/residents receiving medical, psychiatric, or outpatient treatment. Provides therapeutic interactions with patients/residents at all times. * Performs simple treatment procedures such as apply or removing binders, arm slings, dressing, and bandages or applying warm and cool packs. * Observes patients/residents for change in condition (deviation in color, pulse, respiration, pulse oximetry, temperature, blood pressure, pain). * Uses fall prevention strategies while assisting patients/residents to stand, walk or transfer. * Performs a wider variety of duties aimed at increasing the comfort and spirit of the patient/resident. * Assisting patients/residents with feeding based on prescribed diet and is aware of patients/residents that are high risk of choking or aspiration. Monday through Friday, 1 shift 7:00 am to 3:30pm, 2nd shift 3:30 pm to 12:00 am, 3rd shift 12:00 am to 7:00 am, rotating weekends and holidays, this will all be discussed during the applicant's interview. One year above high school with courses related to the Nursing Assistant occupation. Completion of an intensive, specialized, occupation-related course of study of less than one year as a nursing assistant may also meet in full the experience requirements for GS-3. * English Language Proficiency. Nursing Assistants must be proficient in spoken and written English in accordance with VA Handbook 5005, part II, chapter 3, section A, paragraph 3j. Grade Determinations GS-5: One year of progressively responsible assignments and experience equivalent to the GS-4 level which demonstrates knowledge, skills, and abilities that are directly related to the specific assignment. In addition, the candidate must demonstrate the professional KSAs below. OR Education. Successful completion of a 4 year course of study above high school leading to a bachelor's degree that included 24 semester hours of courses related to health care or possession of a bachelor's degree; AND 1. Ability to assist in the full range of nursing care to patients/residents with physical and/or behavioral problems in a hospital, long term care or outpatient setting under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or Licensed Vocation Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse. 2. Ability to communicate orally with patients/residents, families, interdisciplinary team and other personnel. This includes serving as a preceptor to new nursing assistants by assisting with coordination of their orientation and overseeing/assessing their practical experience while in a clinical setting. 3. Ability to recognize and react to emergent patient/resident care situations and intervene while waiting for assistance.
