As part of your daily work, you would have to:
The Technical Advisor (Service Advisor) serves as the communicator and liaison between the customer and the technician, ensuring the customer's needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer. The Technical Advisor is responsible for initiating repairs by ascertaining vehicle performance problems and service requests, verifying warranty and service contract coverage, developing estimates, writing repair orders and maintaining customer records.
Determines and documents vehicle issues based on customer description and vehicle condition
Translates customer-reported problems to actionable work orders for technicians to complete
Orders necessary parts and ensure that they are delivered to technicians
Monitors the progress of each vehicle throughout the day and updates customers frequently
Participates in quality control and ensures that vehicle repairs meet company quality standards
Determines applicable warranty coverage
Verifies that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order
Explains all completed work and charges to the customer
Maintains customer records and inputs data into the computer database
Maintains the company's exceptional standards for ethical business practices, professional image, customer service and employee relations and reports any circumstances that compromise the integrity of the company

You have what it takes?
3+ years' experience as a Service Advisor
Working knowledge and experience of automotive parts and repairs
High school diploma or anything equivalent
Valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record
Math skills to prepare and process bills and customer payment
Knowledge of computer programs including word processing and database tools
MS Office
Ability to communicate repairs and processes to customers in a simple manner
Organizational skills including the ability to make appointments, schedule repairs and track current work in the shop
Exceptional customer service and communication skills

Exposure to open shop environment of humidity, heat, cold, and wet conditions. Exposed to all highway hazards during road testing of vehicles or deliveries.
Work environment requires the continuous operation of hand and power tools and the full range of shop equipment. Repetitive operation of mechanical or electronic office or shop machines or tools within high tolerances or limits of accuracy.
Requires medium to heavy work that involves walking or standing most of the time.
