Position Description

Schumacher Automotive Group in North Palm Beach is seeking a Full-Time Service Accounting Coordinator! Are you an accounting pro? Do you have a vision for creating positive experiences with clients? The Service Accounting Coordinator responds to customer inquiries, records payments to customer accounts, and maintains accounts receivable records. Takes appropriate collection on accounts and reconciles and deposits all monies received by the dealership's Service department. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming calls from customers and clients.

  • Follow up with clients to confirm or reschedule appointments as needed.

  • Maintain accurate and organized client records in the dealership database.

  • Reconciles and deposits service and parts receipts, including charge cards, daily.

  • Completes receipts for all monies received from vehicle service orders as applicable.

  • Enters finalized cash receipts and updates accounts receivable ledger.

  • Files all cash receipt records, check stubs and bank receipts.

  • Prepares cash deposits and fills out the cash control sheet daily.

  • Reconciles statements and follows up collections as necessary.

  • Prepares accounts receivable statements monthly.

  • Other duties or projects as assigned by Management.

Who are we looking for?

  • 1+ year experience in high volume accounting.

  • General understanding of accounting principles and practices.

  • A professional with the ability to work independently, multitask and manage time efficiently.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically in Excel.

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Excellent communicator to support relationships with all staff, clients, visitors.

  • Must be available to work Weekdays and some Saturdays.

A valid driver's license. All applicants must pass pre-employment testing to qualify for employment. Pre-Employment testing includes a successful background check and drug testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

  • Automotive Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)
