Position Summary:

At Park Terrace, the Server provides exemplary customer service and hospitality while serving food and beverages to residents and guests. Working as part of a Dining Services team, service should be delivered timely, professionally and with dignity and compassion. The Server has the opportunity to build relationships and make a true difference in the daily lives of our residences.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform all dining steps of service in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Greet and escort residents in all dining venues and assist as needed.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of daily menu and be able to assist residents with their requests by answering their questions and making recommendations as appropriate.

  • Maintain cleanliness in dining venues and ensure proper table setting at all times.

  • Monitor residents' well-being in a general way and report any changes in condition to the appropriate associate/department immediately.

  • Serve as liaison between guests, residents and kitchen staff and be responsible for effective communication across areas.

  • Lead by example promoting a hospitality focused culture in all dining venues.

  • Work as part of the team within your department and across the community.

  • Learn resident preferences to provide exemplary customer service.

  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working.

  • Perform other related duties as required.

Required Skills

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school graduate preferred
  • 6 months to 1 year of dining experience

BEACH CLUB ATTENDANT JOB REQUIREMENTS The Beach Club Attendant is positioned at the entrance to the facility daily throughout the summer season in varying shifts from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Weekend schedule is mandatory. Job Responsibilities/Duties * Shall assist in confirming membership prior to access. * SMILE AND BE FRIENDLY! Please say hello and good-bye to all residents entering and exiting the gate. * Distribution of safety other information flyers. * Enforce the five (5) guests per household guest policy. No Exceptions! * Remain at the gate at all times, unless instructed otherwise in an emergency. * Maintain attendance statistics * Courteously direct residents in possession of a lost or non-working card to an Beach Club Office staff member, when available (lagoon only), who can assist them in gaining approved access to the facility. If the resident is at the pool direct the resident to the Beach Club office for further registration information. * Check all containers for glass (this includes bags and coolers). Inform resident of policy prohibiting glass if discovered. * Monitor the gate for children under the age of 14 trying to enter without an adult. State law mandates that no one under the age of 14 can enter a pool facility. * Check all children less than four (4) years of age for rubber pants. Children may not enter the facility without possession of this item and may not enter the water without the rubber pants on (this is whether or not they are potty-trained). PLEASE NOTE: Disposable diapers such as; Huggies Little Swimmers are not permitted (they do not work). Swim diapers (fabric covered rubber or nylon pants) are permitted. No exceptions shall be made. Residents without rubber pants may acquire them at the Beach Club office or at pool facilities, as supplies are available. * Restrict entrance of bikes, roller blades, scooters, and skateboards to the facility. Bikes must be left at the bike racks outside the facility. Roller blades must be taken off outside the gate before entering the facility. * Restrict the entrance of pets into the facility. * Monitor all flotation devices for policy adherence. Note that only U.S. Coast Guard-approved life preservers are allowed. * Comply with all directions from all supervisory and administrative levels. * No personal use of cell phones for calls, texting or any other use shall be permitted unless in the break room provided at each facility. * Administer first aid, CPR, AED and other life saving techniques as may be necessary Firstservice Residential Rancho Santa Margarita CA
