General Summary:
Essex Meadows is recruiting for hospitality focused servers to join our culinary team. This role provides full-scope, hands on serving functions within the community.
Essential Job Duties:
Assists in maintaining a high level of customer service for our residents and their guests.
Have knowledge of all current offerings and specials.
Properly carry and handle service trays in a safe and professional manner.
Learn the department's steps of service throughout the meal period, answering questions, and making appropriate suggestions regarding food and beverages.
Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of side stations and equipment, reporting any equipment problems immediately to the manager. Keep service items restocked as needed throughout the service period.
Fulfill all assigned side work during and prior to the end of your shift.
Assists with dish washing and distribution of clean dishes if needed.
Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
Experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant or club with fine dining preferred; will train.
Ability to interpret and explain menu, refer, or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understands requests.
Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, management and peers.
