Server FT

Full-time Day position - work only every other weekend!

$14.75 starting + more for experience

Server:

Assists in the preparation, serving, and clean up of meals. Properly washes and sanitizes all dishes, assists in tray assembly, and delivers food carts to dining rooms. Responsible for a variety of prep work and assisting Cook/Cook's Helper during the duration of a shift. Properly disposes of refuse, cleans and sanitizes dining rooms, dish room, and kitchen.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Prepares and serves meals and beverages according to prepared menus, prescribed diets of residents, or dietary requests

• Assists with prep work throughout the course of the day and assists the Cook as needed

• Transports and retrieves dietary carts to unit dining rooms

• Sets up each dining room before each meal and cleans up after each meal

• Makes snacks and sandwiches for stocking fridges in nursing stations

• Stocks and cleans coffee bars

• Uses dish washer and garbage disposal and cleans and sanitizes work area

• Cleans all refrigerators and stocks supplies in the dining room including both food and cleaning supplies

• Monitors the kitchen and dining rooms for any needed supplies and restocks when necessary

• Stocks supplements

• Follows posted cleaning schedule

• Assists with the setup/cleanup from all functions/parties

• Delivers meal service to the Oaks dining room during breakfast and lunch meals

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Our successful Dietary Assistants have previous food service experience or classes as well as some knowledge of therapeutic diets, food safety, and sanitation. Must have the ability to plan and organize work effectively.
