Job Description Job Description Bartenders have two primary goals: To make all drinks according to SOUL BK's recipes accurately and to ensure that every guest who enters SoulBk and interacts with the bar leaves satisfied and happier than before.
SoulBk requires detail-oriented bartenders who can multitask and sell and are expected to act in a dual role as a salesperson and a customer service agent; just taking orders will not be accepted. They must have extensive product knowledge to offer menu suggestions and be able to sell items so that upselling will be needed. They are also the first line of defense to ensure the quality of food and beverage that is served to patrons is at SoulBk's standards.
Bartenders must greet and engage guests, accurately submit food and drink orders while offering suggestions, take payments, confirm guest satisfaction, and show appreciation by thanking the guests for choosing SoulBk. SoulBk is committed to working with individuals skilled at their craft but, most importantly, has interpersonal skills and a natural inclination to try and make people feel better. SoulBk also requires bartenders to have excellent spirit, beer, and wine knowledge to serve guests better and accurately answer any questions about ordering options.
Consistency is a critical element of a positive experience, achieved by always following recipes. Bartenders should be organized and able to think quickly and effectively while retaining self-composure. This job operates behind a bar, requires a lot of standing and moving, and may involve working close to co-workers.
