The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.
The Industry and Security Analysis Group (ISAG) within JOID provides analytical, technical, and program support to promote, grow, and protect the U.S. industrial base. ISAG's support spans the Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Commerce, and other agencies to deliver critical decision support to national security leaders. Our team informs policy decisions, enables execution of comprehensive strategies and monitors and reports on the effectiveness of implementation. This enables senior leaders to execute strategies for developing and sustaining a robust industrial base that meets our nation's strategic resource objectives. We have a near-term need for a Sensitive Activities Analyst to provide onsite support at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.
Responsibilities
The Sensitive Activities Policy Analyst will support OUSD(I&S)'s HUMINT & Sensitive Activities (H&SA) Directorate in their mission to provide oversight, governance, and integration. The candidate will apply technical knowledge and provide analysis to develop and disseminate strategies and plans that integrate Sensitve Activities mission efforts; assist in program oversight activities that monitor policy compliance; develop and coordinate Sensitive Activities policy recommendations; and develop, coordinate, and make recommendations for staff packages, which may include time sensitive requirements, for senior leadership's considerations for DoD sensitive activities and sensitive support activities. The candidate will support the Secretary of Defense's modernization transformation efforts and the production, coordination, and dissemination of reports and briefings that detail DoD sensitive activities, sensitive support activities, and investements for Congressional and Senior Executive Branch Officials reporting requirements.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's Degree
5 years of experience:
In an oversight role for DoD clandestine and sensitive activities
With DoD and/or IC special access programs and related security requirements
3 years of experience
With policy development, program oversight/guidance, and capabilities development and resourcing within DoD or Intelligence Community and mission integration on a military or interagency staff
Analyzing and interpreting legislative language and impacts to DoD clandestine and sensitive activities and interacting with congressional committees on DoD/National Security Issues
Active TS Clearance with SCI Eligibility
