We are seeking to hire a Senior/Principal Software Engineer to join our team in Andover, MA, USA which is located about 30 minutes north of Boston.

The Senior/Principal Software Engineer will impact the organization through applying their software design, implementation and debug experiences focusing on our vBNG/Routing products.


  • Perform work on the management path of vBNG and routing products.

  • Participate in all software development phases, including requirements, design, coding, unit testing, debugging and performance tuning.

  • Influence the overall design of the products and provide valuable technical inputs.

  • Support customer lab and field trials, and handle the escalated field issues.


  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.

  • 7+ to 10 years of applicable software engineering experience for Sr. level and 10+ years of applicable software engineering experience for Principal level.

  • Telecom network industry experience.

  • Working experience of developing high performance network management products (EMS, NMS and SDN, etc.).

  • Strong experiences of ONAP, ONOS, ODL, etc. a plus.

  • Good knowledge of OSS/BSS.

  • Fluent in "C" programming and strong experience in Perl and shell scripting.

  • Solid understanding of Linux.

  • Experience of control plane a plus.

  • Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

  • Self-motivated.

  • Able to quickly learn new technologies, as required.

  • Able to work in a high-pressure, team environment.

  • Professional demeanor.

System Assurance reaches beyond Process Compliance, complements Systems Engineering, and enables Mission Assurance by proactively identifying and addressing areas where the adequacy of program plans, requirements, analyses, risk mitigation plans, certification/verification/validation/qualification approaches and process/product noncompliance have the potential to impact overall mission success.System Assurance Engineers leverage and interface with all other functions within Mission Assurance, as well as all Engineering Directorates. This position will be to provide Systems Assurance support to the IDS Radar Product Line. Engagements will concentrate on reviewing/approving and assessing risk on all Engineering work product and span all phases of the program. Key Responsibilities include: * Provide an independent view of mission requirements and confirm the voice of the customer is embedded in system requirements and properly decomposed down to component level * Independently verify the integrity of a design's analyses and test plans to catch design defects early * Ensure requirements and designs are poised for produceability, testability, reusability, reliability, safety, and maintainability. * Contribute to Execution Readiness Assessments (ERAs), Independent Reviews (IRs) and Peer Reviews * Verify the integrity of the integration, verification, and validation planning, integration and test environments, and hardware/software configurations under test * Assure failures are reported in a timely manner, containment actions are taken, true root causes are identified, and corrective/preventative actions are implemented, including process and Design Guidance System (DGS) updates * Ensure comprehensive hand-offs between Internal Research & Development (IRAD) efforts and Receiving Program(s) / Product Line(s).
