As a product manager for Demand Generation you will oversee the product strategy and execution to drive student, instructor, and enterprise traffic globally. Your mission will be to enable Udemy to reach, convert, & retain existing and potential users profitably and at scale through existing and new technical initiatives. Success requires a tight and forward-looking relationship with multiple data science, marketing, business development, and sales stakeholders. We are seeking a combination of strong vision, strategic leverage, team leadership, and high velocity execution.

Here's what you will be doing:

  • Lead the strategy, prioritization, and execution for new and existing paid marketing channels, tools, and initiatives that support the marketing and business development teams - be their advocate

  • Build in-depth understanding of our B2B and B2C customers, internal users, systems, marketing tools and channels

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver successful products and/or features

  • Communicate product vision to senior management and various stakeholders

Were' excited about you because you have:

  • BA / BS required, ideally in a technical field

  • 5+ years of building and shipping products that customers love

  • You are excited about highly complex problems, systems, and interactions

  • You have great attention to detail but base your strategy on the big picture objectives

  • You understand how technology can solve customer problems and can engage in the details with the engineering team to find simpler solutions

  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies and tools

  • Passion about the education space and the problems we are solving

  • Natural talent for moderating competing ideas and finding creative solutions

Comfortable managing local and remote Product and Engineering teams (Ireland and Turkey)

Nice to have:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field is ideal

  • Experience with delivering supply side products for two-sided marketplaces/platforms

  • Experience with SQL for pulling and analyzing data

What You'll Do * You will develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with our core audiences -- DevOps, SRE, IT Operations, as well as economic buyers and decision makers including CIOs and CTOs * You will drive go-to-market strategy for your product that arms all our customer-facing teams to speak passionately to why New Relic is the best solution, and that supercharges the growth of the product you champion * You will talk about the benefits of New Relic, specifically for DevOps use cases, to our customers, the field, partners, and prospects * You will translate complex technical topics into simple marketing concepts for diverse technical and non-technical audiences, turning deep and raw technical information into clear, easily-consumable, high-impact content that brings the value prop home * You will enable the sales teams by developing collateral and training materials that bring the product positioning to life with compelling narratives that are grounded in customer stories * You will partner with marketing to craft engaging content such as datasheets, eBooks, whitepapers, presentations, and webinars * You will perform market and ambitious research and analysis, and develop strategies that bolster New Relic's position in the market * You will increase product usage and adoption among your key user bases, in close partnership with our product and technical evangelists, sales, and customer success * You will collaborate with product management, engineering, and design to harness customer insights that help define the product roadmap * You will be a strong, inspiring leader, and the overall portfolio, both internally and externally, through events like sales kickoffs, industry conferences and the like * You will be a leader within the Product Marketing team and apply your experience to the overall growth and development of the function Your Qualifications Must-have: * 6-8 years of related experience in product marketing, building, or writing about highly technical products; validated depth of technical and domain expertise, and ideally previous experience in SaaS software * Bachelor's degree * Strong examples of crafting differentiated, provocative and compelling positioning, messaging and content geared toward technical buyers and users. * Experience driving high levels of growth for SaaS software products * Marketing experience with SaaS products, especially in enterprise software for DevOps, SRE and IT Operations buyers. * Experience talking with users, and a deep understanding of what makes them tick * Awesome written and verbal interpersonal skills (with proof) Nice-to-have: * Experience using or taking products to market in the DevOps, infrastructure monitoring, software delivery, infrastructure automation or related categories. * Knowledge of cloud native technologies including Kubernetes, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Docker, and others. * MBA or advanced technical education or certifications preferred * Know what DevOps users demand of their monitoring and observability solutions * Knowledge of the Open Source technology landscape Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
