As a System Integration and Test Engineer at Ossia, you will be responsible for developing commercial products supporting next generation wireless power systems


  • Create automated build tests and define software test harness. Creating new C++ code for automated testing code base.
  • Create and support manufacturing test software.
  • Create developer operated test App, allowing automated qualification test of customer products for Cota conformance.
  • Create interoperability test software that tests Cota products for wireless interoperability. Evolves with customer device qualification to create an interoperability test base. AI test experience desired.
  • Develop system level tests to verify performance
  • Test cases may include:
    • Software control of the system
    • System performance analysis and characterization
    • Regulatory tests and other standards
    • RF characterization including Transmit power, gain control, modulation quality, phase noise, transmit mask, spurious emissions, receiver sensitivity, in-band and out-of-band blockers, and other characteristics.
    • Antenna gain, EIRP, radiated emissions
    • Conducted and radiated emissions
    • Digital and baseband signal integrity and timing verification
  • Generate detailed reports documenting test results.
  • Develop test systems including both hardware and software for system-level testing.
  • Identify and recommend test equipment
  • Demonstrate functional prototypes for customers
  • Support customers after installation of test equipment
  • Occasional travel may be required


  • 5+ years of relevant experience as a Test Engineer or similar.
  • Experience using Jira or similar tool in an Agile development environment.
  • Strong documentation capabilities and ability to generate detailed test procedures and reports.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role with an ability to communicate clearly and present yourself in a professional and organized manner.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues at the system level
  • Experience in manual and remote GPIB/SCPI/Ethernet operation of spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, power meters, logic analyzers, and other industry standard test equipment.
  • Hands on programming in a scripting language (Python, C, C++, Labview, or Matlab) preferred.


  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline required
  • MS preferred

VIEW JOBS 11/21/2022 12:00:00 AM 2023-02-19T00:00 <p>DESCRIPTION</p><p>Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of LEO satellites that will provide broadband connectivity to underserved communities around the world.</p><p>As a Sr. Antenna Engineer you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary team to develop and execute tests of phased array antennas and customer terminals using our state-of-the-art spherical near-field antenna test systems.</p><p>Your will leverage your experience in antenna design to interpret the results in both near field and far field and isolate issues relative to RF circuit, test equipment, setup, array calibration and software/RF system.</p><p>You will exercise pragmatism to devise test setups that are simple, easy to develop and maintain, yet able to perform all requirement verification tasks.</p><p>You'll design new antenna test systems to dramatically accelerate antenna beam pattern test and link verification.</p><p>You'll use documentation and communication skills to report test metrics and requirement pass/fail to Antenna designer, Array designers, Software team, and other teams.</p><p>Export Control Requirement</p><p>Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.</p><p>Key job responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Develop new techniques to measure digital phased array systems and customer terminals in near field chambers.</p></li><li><p>Develop automation routines to control equipment (ATE) and our custom-made antenna test system to accelerate antenna beam pattern test.</p></li><li><p>Define test plans and procedures for lab and chamber testing</p></li><li><p>Ensure required test coverage to verify requirements and validate models</p></li><li><p>Implement, validate, and optimize lab and chamber test configurations</p></li><li><p>Develop required post-processing to analyze test results</p></li><li><p>Document and interpret test results, troubleshoot issues, performing root-cause analysis for any test failures</p></li><li><p>Communicate status and issues effectively with developers and managers</p></li><li><p>Meet with suppliers to select enabling lab technologies.</p></li><li><p>Support integration of antennas and customer terminals into the rest of the Kuiper system.</p></li><li><p>Shepherd antennas and customer terminals through test campaigns throughout the development lifecycle, from concept to implementation to integration.</p></li></ul><p>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS</p><ul><li><p>BS degree in EE with some RF and antenna coursework or research, or equivalent experience</p></li><li><p>5+ years of experience in RF design and/or verification with launched products.</p></li><li><p>Experience with lab work and RF test equipment</p></li><li><p>Experience with Automation of Test Equipment</p></li></ul><p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p><ul><li><p>MSc or PhD in EE with RF- or antenna-related thesis research</p></li><li><p>Strong foundations in antennas: Impedance matching, theoretical and practical limitations of antennas</p></li><li><p>3+ years' experience in development of computational tools (MATLAB, Python)</p></li><li><p>3+ years' experience in Automated Test Equipment</p></li><li><p>2+ years' experience with testing of digitally modulated signals</p></li><li><p>1+ year of design experience RF building blocks such as filters, hybrids, combiners</p></li><li><p>Experience with active RF circuits and front-end design</p></li></ul><p>Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
