Tetra Tech is seeking to add a senior-level energy efficiency expert to direct impact evaluations of energy efficiency programs for utilities, commissions and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate is well-established in the industry.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of impact evaluations of demand response and energy efficiency improvements to accurately calculate and verify energy and demand savings

  • Manage project teams and oversee subcontractors who are conducting a variety of impact evaluation activities and energy analyses to deliver against project scope on time and budget

  • Complete deliverables that provide clients a cohesive story that both inform and present realistic paths forward.

  • Mentor new and mid-level consulting staff in understanding how to calculate and verify energy and demand savings. Mentoring through one-on-one training or by hosting internal trainings to groups of staff.

  • Support and/or lead proposals and business development related to impact evaluation

  • Build professional network of clients and manage a productive relationship

  • Provide thought leadership by authoring conference papers, white papers, and webinars

  • Represent Tetra Tech at industry events and stay abreast of research designs, and energy legislation and policy

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum of 10 years in energy sector

  • Comprehensive knowledge of IPMVP protocols, energy calculations, energy modeling, measurement and verification (M&V), TRMs, demand savings, and statistical analysis

  • Experience implementing or evaluating energy efficiency, demand response, and other clean energy programsresidential, commercial, and industrial

  • Field data collection administration

  • Project Management

  • Business development

  • Professional presentations

Valued but Not Required:

  • Advanced degree

VIEW JOBS 7/9/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-10-07T00:00 This is a Consultant Bridge Project Engineer, this position coordinates the independent preliminary bridge project review of consultant designed structures. These include (but are not limited to) non-standard bridges, steel plate girder structures, post-tensioned elements, long-span bridges, curved and highly skewed bridges; complicated railroad, movable span, sign and pedestrian bridges; bridge rehabilitation and structural repairs; noise barriers, foundations and retaining structures in problem soils. These structures may be designed in steel, concrete, timber, or any combination of these materials. Responsibilities Include: Performing bridge project review of consultant designed structures; that includes reviewing preliminary structure designs, design computations, load ratings and final plans. These reviews include a variety of highway structures and material types. Working closely with other BOS project members as well as consultant project members and evaluating consultants performance. Working closely with consultants and government agencies. Providing technical guidance on structure design codes, design details, Bureau of Structures policy, and computer programs to consultant designers, consultant reviewers and Region contacts. Resolving construction problems with Region and Consultant Contacts This position requires a strong structural background to perform complex technical activities requiring a high level of accountability. This position performs the final review and verification of the structure to safely carry the design loads and to conform to state and federal specifications. Special Notes: WisDOT does not sponsor work visas. Any appointment made will be contingent on the applicant being able to prove valid status to work in the United States. Prior to any appointments for position(s) filled from this recruitment/announcement, candidates may be subject to a comprehensive criminal background check which may include FBI fingerprinting. Qualifications: A qualified applicant must have graduated from a college or university "ABET accredited" program with a 4-year degree (or Master's) in civil engineering or a related engineering field; OR possess Registration as a Professional Engineer; OR possess an Engineer-In-Training license. In addition, a qualified applicant will have 3.5 years minimum performing professional structural design work, or 3 years minimum AND possession of a masters or Ph.D. in Structural Engineering or commensurate experience. Structures design work may include: Conducting structural design and analysis (e.g. long-span, curved, highly skewed, railroad, movable and pedestrian bridges; bridge rehabilitations and repairs; foundations, retaining walls and noise barriers)/Participating in a complete structural engineering project from preliminary structure layout to final structure production/Applying structural engineering specifications and codes (e.g. AASHTO, Bridge Manual, ACI, AISC, etc)/Serving as a subject matter expert for project stakeholders on structural design projects/Training/experience using CADDS and structural design programs (e.g. SAP, MDX, MIDAS, LARSA, RISA, or comparable programs) In addition to having the items listed for the qualified candidates, a well-qualified applicant will have experience with transportation structural engineering design, experience writing special provisions, or experience with the Wisconsin Bridge Manual, or Wisconsin Standard Specifications as they pertain to bridge construction. To be considered for the advanced level, in addition to the qualifications listed for the senior level, candidates must possess their Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) and have at least 6 years of experience performing structural design activities.
