We're looking for a passionate product leader to take our Credential Platform to the next level. Okta's industry-leading access management product allows organizations to protect their applications while providing a delightful experience to their users. The underpinnings of any secure access experience for an application will be made of strong credentials for authenticating a user. The domain of the credential platform includes passwords, email, SMS, voice, push notifications, FIDO/U2F, Yubikeys, and many more. Your audience will be split across non-technical admins and developers, and you will get the opportunity to work both internally and externally. You should expect to partner closely with our engineering, design, product marketing, and business development teams.

Our goal is to deliver a platform for credentials, not one-offs for individual requirements and factors. Experience building market-leading products and services with a high degree of scalability and platformization for different customer use cases is desired. Having a passion for delivering those capabilities in a user-friendly way will make you a perfect fit for the role.

This will be a highly technical role, requiring the ability to define effective architectures for modeling policies, with an understanding of the downstream consumers and the developer tools through which our authentication capabilities will be delivered, including APIs, SDKs, widgets, mobile apps, backend services and front end experiences.

You should have a keen ability to understand customer requirements, strategically prioritize what's most important for the short- and long-term, and collaborate with your PM team and Okta as a whole to deliver an innovative product.

  • Work with the rest of the Okta product leaders to prioritize and deliver the innovation required to advance the strategy and roadmap for the Credential Platform

  • Measure progress and success with meaningful metrics by working with the data team

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field

  • Experience across the product management lifecycle

  • Strong technical or development background

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong presentation and leadership skills

  • 5+ years of experience, 3+ years of product management or related experience

  • Track record of successful delivery of complex projects

  • Familiarity with standards like U2F, OIDC, SAML, etc.

  • Experience building a developer platform product

With over $7B in acquisitions in the last 6 years, we're investing heavily to secure the future. We securely connect everything: people, processes, data, and things. We innovate everywhere, taking bold risks to shape the technologies that give us smart cities, connected cars, and handheld hospitals. And we do it in style with unique personalities who aren't afraid to change the way the world works, lives, plays and learns. We are thought leaders, tech geeks, pop culture aficionados, and we even have a few purple haired rock stars. We celebrate the creativity and diversity that fuels our innovation. We are dreamers and we are doers. We Are Cisco #WeAreCisco, where each person is unique, but we bring our talents to work as a team and make a difference. Here's how we do it. We embrace digital and help our customers implement change in their digital businesses. Some may think we're "old" (30 years strong!) and only about hardware, but we're also a software company. And a security company. A blockchain company. An AI/Machine Learning company. We even invented an intuitive network that adapts, predicts, learns and protects. No other company can do what we do – you can't put us in a box! But "Digital Transformation" is an empty buzz phrase without a culture that allows for innovation, creativity, and yes, even failure (if you learn from it.) Day to day, we focus on the give and take. We give our best, we give our egos a break and we give of ourselves (because giving back is built into our DNA.) We take accountability, we take bold steps, and we take difference to heart. Because without diversity of thought and a commitment to equality for all, there is no moving forward. So, you have colorful hair? Don't care. Tattoos? Show off your ink. Like polka dots? That's cool. Cisco Systems, Inc. San Jose CA
