What We Offer

The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $85,000 - 100,000/annually, based on experience and education. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location

The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

What You'll Do

The Purchasing Division within the Department of General Services is responsible for City Wide procurement operations encompassing over 41 Agencies which includes $800 million in annual goods and related service spend.  This is achieved by utilizing various governmental procurement "best practices," including competitive bidding and direct "open market" purchases. The team is responsible for the administration of the city's procurement workday module, city wide surplus operations, and the exclusive city-wide authority of goods and service-related procurements.

The team is seeking a Senior Workday Analyst, who will be responsible for operating and improving the Workday Procurement module for the City and County of Denver, as well as support other purchasing and citywide Workday processes and modules.

As the Workday Analyst Senior:

  • Collaborate in the research, implementation, and enhancement of all Workday Procurement systems and applications to meet the needs of procurement, finance, and other business activities citywide. Identify, test, and manage Workday systems and applications to meet functionality needs for the procurement, strategic sourcing, and future modules.

  • Work closely with leadership, key stakeholders, business partners and functional technical teams to gather and define requirements and recommendations. Assists in creating more efficient use of resources through tracking, automating, and streamlining processes.

  • Perform routine requirements of gathering, researching, and testing workflow analysis and report functionalities of Workday procurement and sourcing modules. Review and participate in functional and regression testing for all system fixes, upgrades, patches, and other maintenance including new system features. Provide communication and support to end users for updates and changes to procurement and sourcing modules.

  • Create and update Workday reports to manipulate, analyze, and logically present requested data to end users at any level of the organization. Provide technical support by responding to user inquiries and requests. Exhibit high level of detail in tracking, troubleshooting, testing, and documenting workflows, processes, and solutions.

Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:

  • In depth experience of Workday business process and implementation knowledge, with support experience of finance, procurement, and/or sourcing modules.

  • Success in converting business requirements into technology solutions.

  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint).

  • Experience with Jaggaer, ServiceNow, PowerBI, Azure Dev Ops (ADO), Salesforce, or other ERP system a plus.

  • Functional knowledge of business process workflow creation, project intake and tracking, and analytics. Experience with government processes a plus.

  • Strong skills in communicating and supporting technical process and problems with all levels of the organization.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Education Requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.

  • Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of professional level experience specializing in the implementation and integration of Workday software.

  • Education and Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education for all classifications. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
