As the Senior HRIS/Workday Analyst reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Systems, you will primarily be focused on the Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking and Absence of the Workday Human Capital Management system. You will provide the business with context of current capabilities and rationale for future efforts through data driven and holistic analysis of business value as it aligns to strategic goals. Provide cross functional expertise to guide business stakeholders in the creation of business strategies, scoping of projects, and creation of business rules and requirements, test plans and deployment oversight.

Position Compensation Range:

$95,000.00 - $161,000.00

Primary Accountabilities

  • You will assist with the day-to-day operation of the HR systems, primarily Workday; including, but is not limited to, solution architecture and design, business process configuration/improvement, generating requirements, view and edit calculated fields, user consulting, and technical coaching on team.

  • You will create test scripts, document test scenarios, and perform testing activities of HR systems upon feature requests, alignment projects, and releases of new features.

  • You will have strong consultation, documentation, communication and collaboration skills.

  • You will be able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

  • You will be a positive, motivated individual who can complete goals independently.

  • You will consult with peers across the organization to ensure continuity and conformance to corporate strategies across business divisions.

  • You will ensure deliverables align with strategy and vision and meet the intended goals.

  • You will align project level business analysts across systems to ensure understanding and delivery to meet overall objectives.

  • You will conduct enterprise analysis and data gathering to define the business case for implementing new ideas and resolving current problems.

  • You will collaborate with the business on prioritization activities by providing traceability to strategic goals and measures, understanding overall business value, projected technology needs/rough costs, and impact to stakeholders.

  • You will develop strategies based on a situational awareness of several business areas, scenarios and motivations.

  • You will create solution options and provide necessary context to facilitate business decision-making through artifacts outlining quantifiable measures such as customer/operational metrics and technology costs and intangibles such as customer/user satisfaction, competitive advantage, or changes in risk.

Specialized Knowledge Requirements

  • You will demonstrate the ability to work with and support core human resource business processes relating to compensation, benefits, payroll, time tracking, and absence.

  • You will demonstrate the ability to create, modify, and manage Workday security roles while evaluating downstream implications.

  • You will demonstrate the ability to effectively consult and recommend system enhancements in an understandable way for a variety of audiences ranging from technical to leadership.

  • Demonstrated experience act as liaison conveying information needs of the business to IT and technology or cost constraints to the business; applies equal conveyance regarding business strategy and technology strategy.

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-oriented solutions, support or service.

  • Demonstrated experience balancing and aligning the focus of many different stakeholders across the enterprise based on business objectives.

  • Demonstrated experience building effective working relationships and a strong network that includes people from both business and technical disciplines.

  • Demonstrated experience planning and deploying both business and technology initiatives.

  • Extensive understanding of existing technology and emerging technologies that will enhance business capabilities.

  • Demonstrated experience recognizing and providing recommendations for structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies.

  • Extensive understanding of system architecture and system engineering processes and procedures and how to apply architectural principles to business solutions.

In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Workday PRO HCM, Workday PRO Compensation, Workday PRO Payroll for U.S., Workday PRO Absence and/or Workday PRO Time Tracking are preferred

Experience

  • 4 or more years of experience in Workday

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 5%.

Physical Requirements

  • Work that involves sitting/standing.
