Description:This position is within Lockheed Martin's Advanced Technology Laboratories. Candidate will support research and technology development projects funded by DARPA, DOD service labs such as AFRL, and internal IR&D
Candidate will work in a research and development (R&D) environment with cutting edge tools, systems, and research.
Candidate will lead small teams to develop advanced wireless communication systems, RADAR systems, Electronic Warfare systems, and advanced algorithm design.
Candidate will attend and may present at various industry conferences and customer venues.
The engineer will be working within the Spectrum Systems Laboratory. At SSL we work with every aspect of modern RF systems. This includes research in generation-after-next RADAR systems, Electronic Warfare, advanced machine learning, smart sensing and threat management, signal source separation methods, threat analysis, geolocation and direction finding, emitter tracking, SIGINT and ELINT, distributed sensor design, and cognitive radio. As a senior engineer, the candidate may be responsible lead one or many parts of an end-to-end passive or active RF system. Our hardware and software systems are rapidly prototyped to push hardware and software to their limits and make the impossible possible.
PhD, MS or BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Math, Computer Science or other science field combined with appropriate experience or course work.
6 years industry or research experience
Experience with at least one of the following programming languages: C, C++, Verilog, VHDL, Python, MATLAB.
Ability to obtain DoD Secret or higher clearance which requires US citizenship. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
