About the role

As a Senior Web Developer III, you play a pivotal role in developing, supporting, and maintaining web applications, websites, and digital products for Partner.Co. Your responsibilities include translating design requirements and specifications into functional, engaging, and high-quality web applications. Leveraging your extensive experience and skill set, you, in collaboration with other senior developers, are instrumental in designing infrastructure, developing processes and systems, and establishing standards for full-stack web application development. You are tasked with architecting end-to-end web product experiences and implementing enhancements aimed at boosting customer satisfaction and loyalty across all digital customer touchpoints. Beyond your technical expertise, your role as a senior developer also emphasizes the importance of soft skills, particularly in mentoring. You are a key resource for the development team, dedicated to mentoring and teaching, thereby elevating the team's overall skills and experience.

What you'll do

  • Work with the development team to create high-quality web applications.

  • Architect and build robust web applications to support business needs.

  • Maintain a security-first mindset in managing and developing all applications, services, and systems.

  • Actively participate in system architecture discussions and technical design reviews to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.

  • Support and maintain existing websites, services, and tools by completing feature requests and resolving bugs and issues.

  • Follow QA processes to ensure quality.

  • Enforce clean code and excellent coding practices by conducting thoughtful code reviews.

  • Introduce and implement innovative techniques and technologies.

  • Self-manage completion of projects and work with project managers to meet deadlines.

  • Manage multiple tasks and timelines.

  • Develop designs into web applications with exactness.

  • Work with leadership to enhance the company's websites and boost traffic to increase sales performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development and Design, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience required.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in web software development.

  • Advanced knowledge of HTML/CSS, JavaScript, object-oriented PHP, Laravel PHP framework, and Perl.

  • Experience with JavaScript Frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or AngularJS.

  • Solid understanding of common web database types (relational databases, NoSQL, Document, etc.).

  • Experience using and developing CI/CD pipelines for code releases

  • Experience with version control utilizing GIT.

  • Proficient in API integrations, including working with RESTful APIs.

  • Experience with managing web server software such as Apache or Nginx

  • Strong understanding of UI/UX design concepts, responsive design, and mobile-first design principles.

  • AWS experience/certifications are a major plus.

  • Proven experience teaching and mentoring in a development environment, especially in guiding junior developers.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and creative thinking skills.

  • Strong ability to self-motivate and think analytically.

  • Demonstrated strong time management skills by consistently delivering projects on time.

  • Motivated to research and learn about new technologies and practices.

  • Set high standards of performance for oneself.
