About the Job:

KeepTruckin is seeking an experienced and passionate Web Designer to join our growing Marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop new web concepts that will propel our brand identity forward

The ideal candidate will have a background in web design and be experienced designing beautiful website experiences for desktop and mobile. As a web designer, will work closely with our Creative Lead, and growing team of UI and UX designers to explore visual solutions that will enhance KeepTruckin's presence on the web.


  • Research and design concepts for the web that are beautiful and highly functional

  • Strategically develop information architecture and establish wireframes for and other landing pages for events, promotions, partnerships and other marketing purposes

  • Design page layouts and interaction methodology

  • Design of templates and art direction of photography and graphics for templates

  • Work closely with developers during build processes and document best practices for maintaining consistent design components across various web experiences

  • Work collaboratively with other designers to tackle complex design problems

  • Work with stakeholders, such as Product Marketing and Performance Marketing to understand business objectives, product stories and user journeys, and provide solutions through design


  • Strong graphic design skills and a portfolio showcasing web design work and visually engaging comps that communicate large concepts

  • Proven ability to take a project from concept to launch with a strong understanding of the process throughout

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Abstract, Figma and Invision

  • Ability to understand the customer's pain points and needs and come up with ideas that are meaningful and compelling

  • A keen eye for consistency, color, typography, and a perfectionist attitude towards subtle details

  • Knowledge of current trends in design and technology

  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, Javascript, browsers, and devices is a plus

  • While not required, the ability to write front-end code (HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc.) is preferred

  • Should be familiar with WordPress and Pardot or similar CMS platforms

The ideal candidate will elevate the visual design for every aspect of Okta's web marketing needs. The Sr. Web Designer supports the concept and development of stories, content, campaigns and experiences that connect Okta with the world. We're looking for a senior-level web designer capable of producing work that would stand out on Dribbble and Behance. Reporting to the Head of Creative, you will work closely with the Sr. Visual Designer, who will be your mentor. The Design Team, (comprised of the UX, Creative and Research Teams) at Okta enjoys collaborating together. Frequent design critiques are held to gather valuable feedback and keep team members up to date on what's happening. Responsibilities: * Produce high-quality creative assets, including icons, illustrations, and infographics for web, mobile and social. * Design pixel-perfect and responsive web design comps for marketing and customer facing web sites. * Provide design solutions to A/B testing for various web components. * Create web experiences informed by research and consideration for the overall UX. * Communicate effectively with designers, product managers, engineers and marketing pros to present your ideas. * Create visuals that are inspired by our brand guidelines, but also push to extend and evolve Okta's visual language over time. * Understand our users and target audience to inform your visual design direction. * Manage multiple projects – we value focus but we are an agile team in a constantly changing environment. REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * A stunning portfolio that demonstrates your visual design skills in a variety of mediums (web, mobile, social, motion). * 5 – 7 years' experience at an agency, design studio or in-house design department. * Strong understanding of graphic design principles, methods and practices, as well as all phases of design, production, and delivery for email, display, web and video. * Excellent visual design skills, sense of typography, attention to detail, and ability to adhere to brand guidelines. * Comfortable distilling and presenting complex technical solutions in simple, engaging ways. * Able to inform design decisions with UX heuristics. * Proficient in the latest Adobe CC (Photoshop and Illustrator). * Familiarity with Sketch, Figma and Asana. * Great communicator, problem-solver, comfortable with technical subject matter, and a sense of humor. * Motion design/editing skills are a plus. Education and Training: BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. media studies, interaction, graphic, visual communications), HCI or equivalent work experience as a web or visual designer.
