The Senior Wealth Strategist serves as the lead planner for high net worth and ultra high net worth clients of the firm. In this role, the Senior Wealth Strategist is responsible for implementing and communicating coordinated wealth plans encompassing multiple disciplines including but not limited to estate, financial, and business succession planning. The Senior Wealth Strategist collaborates with members of the firm and the client's advisor team to provide support in the acquisition of new clients, while supporting retention and expansion of existing client relationships. The Senior Wealth Strategist is recognized as a thought leader both internally and externally through demonstrated knowledge, written materials and presentations to both clients and professionals.

Responsibilities
Developing, consulting on, and implementing the tax, estate, and legacy plans for clients, including those of the greatest complexity
Evaluating a client's assets and existing planning vehicles and developing ideas and alternatives (i.e. creation of trusts, asset protection strategies, etc.)
Provide expert guidance in trust and estate planning including beneficiaries, wills, probates, trust arrangements and multigenerational wealth transfer strategies
Collaborate with client's team of advisors to provide sophisticated wealth planning advice
Proactively research industry trends and become a planning resource for clients and team members when recommending wealth strategies
Maintaining current in-depth knowledge of a full range of topics related to wealth strategy and working with high net worth and ultra high net worth families (e.g., estate and tax planning, family governance, business succession, life insurance, among other topics)
Partner with Wealth Strategy Team, Wealth Advisors, Investment and Operations Team Members to develop and enhance client relationship by providing expert wealth planning advice as part of a comprehensive client services offering
Be an internally and externally recognized thought leader in the wealth strategy area and ideally would represent the firm through written materials and client and professional presentations
Make recommendations to improve efficiencies
Work with Managing Director on developing, implementing and monitoring wealth transfer plans for ultra high net worth families and other projects
Research and consult on tax matters in the federal estate, gift, charitable planning, and generation-skipping tax arena
Have knowledge, insight, and knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; the ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations
Maintain confidentiality with external client information as well as internal employee and firm information

Education, Experience and Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Management and/or related field; advanced degree (LLM, MBA, MA, MS) preferred
Minimum 7 years client facing advisory experience in wealth, trust and estate planning for high net worth and ultra high net worth individuals and families
License or registration: FINRA Series 65 (can be obtained after hiring); or 7 and 66 (combined and active within last two years);
Juris Doctor (JD) preferred; CPA also desirable
Essential Functions
Excellent knowledge Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office and at client offices to access file cabinets, office machinery etc.
Constantly operate computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
Ability to communicate in a professional manner and exchange information with internal and external actors as needed
Ability to lift/carry up to 20 pounds
Must be able to remain in a stationary position as needed
Ability to work outside of normal business hours and weekends as needed
Ability to travel to local and non-local clients as needed, overnight travel may be required

Salary Range:
$160,000 - $180,000
