The Opportunity

The Senior Warehouse Technician will be responsible for general warehouse duties associated with the storage, tracking, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste within an industrial warehouse environment at the Company's facility located in La Porte, TX.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times

  • Operating forklift and other equipment to safely transport drums of waste for storage and disposal

  • Performing physical labor duties and other general warehouse duties on-site

  • Operating a sit-down forklift in an industrial setting

  • Other duties as assigned

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • HS Diploma or equivalent

  • 2+ years' experience operating a forklift

  • Previous experience in a labor/physically intensive position (ie. construction, landscaping)

  • Ability to work weekends on occasion based on needs of the business

  • Ability to interact with team members, work independently, and represent Clean Harbors in a professional manner

Example is condenser fan motors, Drive belts</li> <li>Charge refrigerant to R717, R22 and R23 refer units when applicable</li> <li>Charge refrigerant oil to all refer units when required </li> <li>Rotate oil filter banks</li> </ul> <ul><li>Perform other duties as required</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>Minimum 4 years’ experience required in industrial refrigeration mechanic work, with minimum 2 years’ experience in ammonia refrigeration, including installation and maintenance of refrigeration equipment.</li> <li>Minimum 2 years’ experience required with residential / commercial comfort HVAC systems</li> <li>Ability to diagnose, maintain, adjust, repair, and replace refrigeration systems and components</li> <li>Possess prior computer experience and be able and willing to learn and effectively utilize computer based labor, inventory, and maintenance tracking applications</li> <li>Possess the competencies, willingness and ability to perform the duties of position</li> <li>Experience with reading prints, schematics, drawings and repair manuals</li> <li>Must be willing to work overtime when required.
