Responsible for operating material handling equipment to move finished product to and from warehouse and trucks. Equipment may include, but not limited to, powerlifting equipment and scan guns. Responsible for performing all required operating procedures. Subject matter experts at performing job function requirements. Responsible for the training and development of personnel as needed per leadership direction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee warehouse floor operations to support safety, service, and sanitation goals.
Help establish work priorities, then assigns and trains members of the team in a safe and compliant manner.
Handle general employee inquiries and solve problems.
Operate all forklift equipment to complete warehouse tasks.
Sort, prepare, train daily workload.
Transition shift information at the start and end of shift.
Verify correct identification code dates and warehousing products.
Supervisor loading/unloading of trucks and verifies that paperwork is correctly completed and signed.
Able to use Kare and other warehouse systems.
Coordinate with other departments to facilitate efficient warehouse operations.
Record/report specified information on appropriate documents.
Promote quality assurance in work standards and products being handled.
Report any process or equipment problems.
Lead/direct warehouse team by example to gain trust and integrity; promote a safe and harmonious work environment
Promote and provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
Ensure professional communication and confidentiality.
Must follow all SOP procedures and complete required documentation/checklists. Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve products, services, or processes.
Maintain area cleanliness, report leaking, or out spec product, and participate in waste reduction/shrinkage efforts.
Follow all safety requirements to include, Housekeeping, Lock Out/Tag Out, PPE, and engage in facility safety efforts.
Ensure compliance with all OSHA, NYSDA, PMO, FDA, and assist in maintain SQF readiness, and HACCP.
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
2-4 years manufacturing and/or warehouse experience
Must be able to operate forklifts, pallet jacks (manual/electric)
Must be able to work in varied temperature ranges
