Leidos is seeking a Senior VIOP Network Engineer to design, develop, and manage the Voice Over IP (VOIP) service infrastructure for a mid to large sized contract serving the intelligence community. The selected candidate will be working in a team environment, managing the customer's VOIP communications circuitry, switching, transmission facilities, and networks. The selected candidate will also be responsible for supporting the operation and maintenance, trouble diagnoses, and administration of contract VOIP communications and equipment. The position will be located in Annapolis Junction, MD.
Assessing customer requirements and providing telecommunications requirements, designs and orders.
Resolving VOIP infrastructure problems and incidents quickly and effectively.
Providing in-depth engineering analysis of telecommunications strategy for the customer in support of their modernization efforts.
Proposing enhancements to telecommunications designs for medium to large scale telecommunications infrastructures.
Supporting contract telecommunications infrastructure using telecommunications engineering best practices, Transport Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TPC/IP), routing protocols, LAN/WAN switching, etc.
Fourteen (14) years of related experience is required. Bachelor's degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional configuration management engineering experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
