Location: Los Angeles, CA

Position Summary:

Senior Video Editor will be responsible for cutting interviews, interview clips, music performances, town halls, in-hall interviews, short newsy segments, and archive material. Will also be the lead editor for SiriusXM video and oversee team of editors, GFX artists.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create a scalable workflow for producing multiple clips per day/per editor as we cover all that happens in SiriusXM studios.

  • Responsible for overall look and feel of SiriusXM video.

  • Establish scalable work flow for creating clips for use on multiple platforms in timely fashion.

  • Repurpose existing archive, manage daily load of editorial in SiriusXM offices.

  • Oversee edit process from getting clips off grid through publishing to Ooyala.

  • Help create our social media presence by versioning spots for Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Serve as lead editor for a growing team of SiriusXM programmers.

  • Work closely with production manager to create daily schedule.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, relevant experience.
  • 5-7 years of editing experience (comedy, news or interview based experience preferred).

  • Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.

  • Spelling, grammar, proofreading and editing skills.

  • Creative writing ability.

  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of PC based workstations.

  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere.

  • Proficiency with other Adobe Software, such as After Effects and Photoshop.

  • In-depth knowledge of video editing workflow, formats, codecs, plug-ins.

  • Knowledge in sound design software such as Audition or ProTools is a plus.

  • Must be skilled at Adobe Premier.

  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

  • Should have familiarity with running robo-cams and operating the New Tech TC-1 (Tricaster).

Seeking a highly motivated and creative person to conceptualize, produce, and oversee editing processes for marketing assets including trailers, teasers, promos, and cutdowns, for our original series, and the DROPOUT platform as a whole. Responsibilities: * Work with the Marketing team to determine overarching strategy and asset creation details (platform goals, tune in messaging, etc.) * Storyboard video flow, give music direction and develop beat-sheets/treatments * In coordination with production teams, supervise marketing-specific production shoots as necessary * Work with Director of Post Production to oversee Post workflows for marketing video assets, including but not limited to: * Vetting and hiring editors and outside vendors * Coordinating editing schedules and deadlines * Providing creative guidance and feedback on cuts, and consolidating feedback from other creative stakeholders * Coordinating with internal design teams on creation of any graphical elements such as title cards or bumpers * Coordinate strategy and packaging of weekly Youtube promotional content, working alongside all internal teams as necessary Job Requirements: * Available to work Mon-Fri, 10am-6pm in our West Hollywood office, with travel to New York as needed * Minimum 3-5 years experience working in marketing, advertising, and/or creative services * Experience leading video-centric marketing campaigns, working directly with video editors preferred * Versatility with marketing copy – clear and concise with brand voice * Professional attitude, attention to detail; an understanding of how to sell, market, and promote; and the confidence to take initiative without supervision * Strong understanding of post production workflows, language, and software (Adobe Premiere preferred) * Experience working with comedic content a plus Chmedia Los Angeles CA
