ROLE SUMMARY

Reporting to the President, Senior Vice President, Strategic Growth, CORE Learning will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, shaping program design, and fostering impactful client relationships. This executive-level leadership position demands expertise in marketing, product development, and business development, as well as the ability to cultivate strong connections with C-suite leaders in school districts. 

The Senior Vice President, Strategic Growth will lead the process to develop a cross-functional roadmap that informs program, sales, marketing, technology and operations. They will develop and implement a multi-year relationship development approach with key district partners to identify opportunities to improve student outcomes and obtain revenue. They will also be responsible for leading the Business Development and Sales Enablement functions for CORE.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:Strategic Leadership and Product Development

  • Lead the development of a comprehensive, multi-year strategy aligned with the organization’s overall vision and growth objectives to cross-sell and up-sell services across our brands.
  • Drive the product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on market research, customer feedback, and competitive analysis to inform the development of new solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including programs, impact, sales, marketing and finance to bring new products and features to market effectively.
  • Monitor education policies, industry trends, funding opportunities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.

Business Development and Partnerships:

  • Identify and evaluate strategic partnership opportunities that align with the organization's program and business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with C-suite leaders in key accounts and other strategic alliances.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements, licensing deals, and other business arrangements to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Work closely with legal and finance teams to ensure partnership agreements are structured effectively and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification:

  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to identify new market opportunities and target segments.
  • Evaluate market trends, customer feedback, and industry insights to inform program and business development strategies.
  • Develop business cases and financial models to assess the viability and potential impact of new program initiatives and partnership opportunities.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Build and lead a high-performing team of business development professionals and other stakeholders.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and finance, to align program and business development activities with overall company goals.

Performance Measurement and Optimization:

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of product and business development initiatives.
  • Utilize data analytics and insights to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and optimize strategies for maximum impact.
  • Present regular updates and reports to senior leadership on the performance and impact of program and business development efforts.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering or related field from an accredited college or university; Master’s degree or above preferred
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of sales leadership experience, preferably in the K-12 business space including but not limited to:
  • Team development and management 
  • Leading essential business development and sales functions 
  • Successful partnership development, strategic planning and revenue generation 
  • Selling services into K-12 professional learning market
  • Possess an existing network of leaders within the K-12 SEA and LEA space in California 
  • Ability to analyze data and market trends to identify potential partnership opportunities and their potential impact on the organization
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office, Google-based applications, and online collaboration tools such as Slack
  • Proficient use of Customer Relations

  • Effectively articulate an in depth understanding of customer needs

Benefits

UnboundEd offers competitive salaries commensurate with experience and education and a generous benefits package that includes take-as-you-need vacation time, group medical, dental and vision plans, disability and life insurance plans, and an employer-sponsored 401K retirement plan with a 5% employer contribution and no vesting period or salary cap. This is an exempt full-time position with additional bonus earning potential.  A compensation offer is based on relevant years of experience in relation to the position.
