Job Overview: Senior Vice President, Sales Americas

Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the Senior Vice President of Sales will be responsible for all aspects of Loftware's direct sales of software and services covering North America. As a key member of the Loftware global leadership team, the SVP of Sales will also be involved in all business issues and strategies relating to the go-to-market operations of the Company, as well as being an integral contributor to discussions focused on go-to-market strategic planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational direction for all direct sales and revenue generating initiatives covering North America.

  • Provide sales leadership that will enhance the Company's position, growth and value in the marketplace.

  • Expertly manage and allocate sales resources to provide an effective coverage plan by vertical market, existing versus new customers, inside versus outside sales models and geographical balance.

  • Ensure a culture of excellence within all sales functions: recruit, develop, lead, motivate and retain sales talent.

  • Build a cohesive and powerful sales organization consisting of both inside and outside sales teams; provide day-to- day, hands-on management of all functional areas, including sales opportunities, coaching, account plans, partner relationships, pipeline management and forecasting through reports from Salesforce.com and frequent prospect/customer and partner visits.

  • Partner effectively with marketing, professional services, product management, and finance to support customer needs, plan go-to-market campaigns, demand generation programs, product offerings, and budgets.

Required Qualifications:

  • 15 years of experience in enterprise software sales management. Preferably with experience selling software such as ERP, MES, WMS, SCM, ECM and PLM systems.

  • Proven, demonstrable, and repeated success building a high-performance team of sales professionals and having driven the profitable growth of a software company.

  • Track record of effectively allocating resources in such a way as to maximize the needs of a sales organization while pursuing objectives which economically benefit the Company.

  • Demonstrated experience partnering with large and mid-tier systems integrators to create mutually beneficial alliances.

  • A track record of success; meeting quota and sales objectives.

  • The ability to implement sales processes and management tools, especially CRM tools such as Salesforce.com, pace the effectiveness of a team, individual or program.

  • A strong teamwork bias, along with the ability to inspire team and company success through positive feedback, constant support, and the creation of a positive and productive work environment.

  • Ability to contribute to the assessment of new product opportunities, forecast the sales resource and budgetary demands these opportunities will place on the Company, and recommend sound, prudent decisions based on a combination of business drivers, technology trends, and market needs.

  • The ability to effectively communicate, both internally to influence teams across the Company, and externally to present Loftware's technology to customers and partners.
