Job Description:
The Senior Vice President, Member Training & Delivery, provides overall strategic and operational leadership of ABA's Training business which generates $10mm+ in revenue and serves 300,000 banking professionals each year. This role is responsible for understanding the training and professional development needs of ABA members and customers. It also designs and implements business strategies for revenue growth.
The SVP is responsible for ensuring that ABA's offerings maintain a consistently high standard and that ABA's training solutions continuously meet the industry's evolving needs in terms of content, instructional design, user experience, and technology.
This position works collaboratively with ABA member committees, leaders in ABA's Office of Member Engagement and Policy teams, and relationship sales. The SVP also provides direct oversight of ABA's Member and Customer Support (MCS) team which handles inbound calls focusing on training and a wide range of ABA-related service requests.
The SVP, Member Training & Delivery must possess a strong business orientation and display exemplary leadership, organizational, and decision-making abilities. In addition, this position requires strong technical and financial management capabilities as well as excellent interpersonal and managerial skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Business management -- Establish strategic plan and annual Training, MCS, and paid webinar budgets and operating plans. Develop and implement specific goals, objectives, and initiatives to meet budgetary requirements and key performance indicators.
Track performance against plan and adjust as needed. Works with executive staff to develop and execute sales strategies through self-registered courses (i.e., aba.com), a dedicated relationship management team, and third-party partners (e.g., state banking associations).

Required Experience:
Bachelor's or advanced degree in related field preferred or commensurate experience.
15+ years' experience leading Training & Professional Development initiatives.
Experience in commercial training that drives revenue required.
Familiarity with online course technical standards i.e. SCORM, AICC, xAPI, and accessibility standards such as WCAG.
Experience managing a multi-million-dollar for-profit training business.
Experience with hybrid, in person and remote training methodologies and technologies.
Experience scaling a training business and delivering growth.
Management of a large and diverse team and large-scale content initiatives.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to travel (20%).
Preferred experience
Experience working in, with, or for financial institutions strongly preferred.
