We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Application Development Manager to join our Issuer Services Engineering team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA, and will work a Hybrid schedule (3 days per week in-office required).  Candidate must reside within a commutable distance to this work location, as we are unable to accommodate 100% virtual work arrangements.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 3-5 software engineers.

  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge software solutions.

  • Ensure project milestones are met, and driving continuous improvement within the team.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and performance reviews.

  • Identify and address team members' professional development needs.

  • Project Management:

  • Oversee the entire software development lifecycle for assigned projects.

  • Work with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.

  • Develop detailed project plans and timelines, ensuring on-time delivery.

  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet changing needs.

  • Technical Oversight:

  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members.

  • Review and approve design and code produced by the team.

  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes.

  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.

  • Collaboration and Communication:

  • Facilitate effective communication within the team and with other departments.

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project execution.

  • Present project updates and technical solutions to senior management.

  • Continuous Improvement:

  • Implement and advocate for agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.

  • Identify areas for process improvement and drive initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.

  • Promote a culture of innovation and learning within the team.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred

  • 10 + years of experience in systems analysis and program development with related supervisory, management and administrative experience required

  • Proven experience managing software development projects from inception to completion

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript)

  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices

  • Experience with agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, JIRA)

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Experience in the securities or financial services industries is a plus
