Senior UX Designer (Contractor)

About The Team:

The UX Design team at Noah Medical is dedicated to the development of safe, usable and delightful experiences for our users across hardware and software. We deeply collaborate with the product, clinical engineering, software and hardware engineering, and regulatory teams to define future Noah Medical products, as well as improvements to existing products. Whether it's field research, in-depth user interviews, explorative design work or detailed design work throughout implementation into verification and validation testing, the UX Design team is involved on a daily basis.

A Day In The Life Of Our Senior UX Designer (Contractor):

• Absorb, digest and process complex technical and functional information into useful, useable, and efficient workflows, screen layouts and interactions

• Take ownership of the end-to-end UX definition of a new medical device, work mostly autonomously within a cross-functional team and oversight from UX Manager

• Collaborate with clinical engineers to orchestrate multiple screen-based touch points as part of a workflow for a class II medical device

• Champion and apply solid user experience design principles and best practices to design, iterate and prototype at a wireframe level in Figma

• Establish end-to-end screen-based wireframe level screens and flows

• Build click-through prototypes in Figma for internal evaluation

• Collaborate with software development team to build out detailed prototypes for evaluation with users

• Support preparation and moderation of user evaluations

• Be the voice of the physician and support staff when it comes to all on-screen touchpoints

• Support the development and maintenance of UI requirements and documentation

About You:

• 5+ years of relevant experience (experience in medical device industry is highly preferred)

• Available for at least 6 months with the possibility to extend after

• Demonstrable excellence in absorbing and translating complex information into usable and efficient UIs

• Experience designing for a variety of touchpoints ranging from small tablet-sized and large desktop-sized touch displays to stereoscopic viewers

• You have a knack for learning new things and complex products that go beyond just a touch screen UI

• You hold your own in a multidisciplinary team, love to learn from others, but find comfort in working through things on your own as well
