Department Overview

Motorola Solutions is solving for safer. Every day we come to work we are solving for safer communities, safer schools, safer hospitals, safer stadiums… safer everywhere. From 9-1-1 emergency call taking, incident dispatch, and video security solutions to applications for first responders (i.e Police officers), we are building some of the most meaningful software today, real, professional tools. The UX team includes UX designers, visual designers, experience researchers, and UX engineers.

Job Description

• Work in a team envisioning the future, designing end-to-end solutions for in-field users across diverse areas, including government, public safety, and enterprise.

• Be an integral part of a growing team that is involved in strategic and innovative projects that will lead the company's vision.

• Collaborate with UX researchers to capture and synthesize insights from the field to enable UX designers to ideate, prototype, and deliver designs to development teams to make them a reality.

• Contribute to future envisioning efforts within the team through design exercises, brainstorming sessions, and workshops as needed.

Basic Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a professional with a proven track record of practical work experience as an interaction, product, or user experience designer and having, consecutively delivered comprehensive and intuitive end-to-end solutions
• strong ability to articulate reasons behind decisions related to designs and solutions to stakeholders, customers, and the engineering team,
• passion for research-fueled rapid ideation,
• self-starter and a strong desire for team collaboration,
• good communication skills in English, both written and verbal,
• experience with Figma or other industry-standard wireframing tools.
