As a Senior Upstream Product Manager for Medtronic ENT you will work withthe Marketing Director as the lead, expert and primary contact to create andimplement global marketing activities which support the company's businessstrategies related to product development/acquisition.
A Day in the Life
Inconjunction with the Marketing Director, will develop and manage the franchisestrategic road map for new product portfolio for assigned product lines
Represent organization as a primary contact for new product marketing for assignedproduct lines
Developand manage long-term platform life cycle, including analyses to support productline changes: ex new product development or acquisition or discontinuation
Prepare forecasts and long-range budgets for product lines
Definethe direction for new products, processes, standards, or operational plansbased on business strategy
Investigateand assess product and technical needs for either future development projectsor business development
Workclosely with R&D and BD to implement portfolio innovation plan
Provideongoing coaching, support, to upstream team peers and lower levelprofessionals.
Gatherdetailed information, analysis and investigation to overcome problems andissues faced regarding product development.
Developand maintain strong KOL relationships to enable effective product portfoliostrategy
Representmarketing on cross-functional teams for product development and sustainingprojects by channeling customer feedback or input to various attributes duringconcept and development. Support the Franchise Owners by ensuring the must-havefeatures are in the development cycle and continually test the product withend-users.
Inconjunction with the Sr. Marketing Director and the downstream marketing team,prepare and support activities for new product launches including valueproposition, sales channel strategy, cannibalization assessment, educationaltools and pricing.
General responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Formulates and reviews corporate short and long-range plans, goals, and objectives for specific product or product line.
Conducts competitive product analysis and market research of product consumer behavior and professional audience.
Determines the profitability and viability of new products or product enhancements.
Develops production and marketing strategies and tactics to ensure effective product placement relative to market opportunity, working closely with product development for a specific product, brand, or product area over its entire life cycle.
Works with other functions to finalize product specifications.
Provides advertising with core brand equity.
Serves as technical adviser, demonstrating products and troubleshooting product issues.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Superior communication and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task while working in a fast paced environment
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Ability to travel within the U.S. and internationally
