What You'll Do
Reviews of your peers' code with an eye towards code quality and overall architectural soundness.
Collaborate with the team to break down projects into engineering tasks for each sprint.
Identify blockers and work across teams to resolve issues.
Provide insight about tech debt to influence the roadmap.
Build new features to enhance our ecommerce customer experience.
Mentor other engineers on the team.
Own UI and UX excellence.
You have at least 5 years of industry experience working in a team environment, building production web applications with modern front-end languages and frameworks, such as AngularJS and ReactJS.
Have experience collaborating closely with designers. Build a strong alliance with the Design Team, becoming a partner providing feedback and solutions from a technical standpoint.
Can push the forefront of the team through by building in-product and out-of-product growth strategies. Teach us to craft beautiful and well engineered customer user experiences.
Work in short iterations to learn/refine quickly and minimize risk introduced by new changes secured by an ironclad test suite.
Actively participate in code reviews, and sprint planning meetings to ensure we are all coding at our best while staying aligned with business goals.
You have a testing-oriented mindset, and understand both how to write tests and the value of automated testing.
Have strong opinions, weakly held and rooted in personal experience. You can easily disregard prior held biases and opinions in the face of new information and use cases.
You are strong written and verbal communicator who expects the best of yourself and others, and would rather band together for a common cause than fly solo.
Can build strong alliances with product and engineering managers.
